你們的神說：「要安慰，安慰我的百姓。

所以，你們要把下垂的手舉起來，發酸的腿挺直；

我要求父，父就賜給你們另外一位保惠師，使他永遠與你們同在。

你是我藏身之處，你必保佑我脫離苦難，以得救的歡呼四面環繞我。（細拉）

我的心必因耶和華誇耀，謙卑的人聽見就喜樂。你們要和我一同尊耶和華為大，讓我們一同高舉他的名。我曾尋求耶和華，他就應允我，救我脫離一切的恐懼。仰望他的人，就有光榮；他們的臉必不蒙羞。這困苦人呼求，耶和華就垂聽，救他脫離一切的患難。

在那日，你要說：「耶和華啊，我要稱謝你！因為你雖然向我發怒，你的怒氣卻已轉消；你又安慰了我。

敬畏神的人哪，你們都來聽！我要述說他為我所做的事。

耶和華如此說：「看哪，我要使平安臨到她，好像江河；使列國的榮耀及於她，如同漲溢的溪流。你們要盡情吸吮；你們必被抱在身旁，搖弄在膝上。我要安慰你們，如同母親安慰兒女；你們也必在耶路撒冷得安慰。你們看見，心裏就喜樂，你們的骨頭必如草生長；耶和華的手在他僕人身上彰顯，他卻要向他的仇敵發怒。」

但保惠師，就是父因我的名所要差來的聖靈，他要把一切的事教導你們，並且要使你們想起我對你們所說的一切話。

我向你陳明我的罪，不隱瞞我的惡。我說：「我要向耶和華承認我的過犯」；你就赦免我的罪惡。（細拉）

我不會撇下你們為孤兒，我必到你們這裏來。

耶路撒冷的廢墟啊，要出聲一同歡唱；因為耶和華安慰了他的百姓，救贖了耶路撒冷。

正如我們跟基督同受許多苦楚，我們也靠基督得許多安慰。如果我們受患難，那是為使你們得安慰，得拯救；如果我們得安慰，那也是為使你們得安慰，這安慰能使你們忍受我們所受同樣的苦楚。

因此，我們得了安慰。在我們所得的安慰之外，又因你們眾人使提多心裏暢快喜樂，我們就更加歡喜了。

所以，你們當用這些話彼此勸勉。

耶和華已經安慰錫安，安慰了錫安一切的廢墟，使曠野如伊甸，使沙漠像耶和華的園子；其中必有歡喜、快樂、感謝，和歌唱的聲音。

而且那在主裏的弟兄，多半都因我受的捆鎖而篤信不疑，越發放膽無所懼怕地傳道。

他們不飢不渴，炎熱和烈日必不傷害他們；因為憐憫他們的必引導他們，領他們到水泉旁邊。

求你向我顯出恩待我的憑據，使恨我的人看見就羞愧，因為你－耶和華幫助我，安慰了我。
