所以，你們要把下垂的手、發酸的腿挺起來；

我要求父，父就另外賜給你們一位保惠師，叫他永遠與你們同在，

你是我藏身之處；你必保佑我脫離苦難，以得救的樂歌四面環繞我。（細拉）

我的心必因耶和華誇耀；謙卑人聽見就要喜樂。你們和我當稱耶和華為大，一同高舉他的名。我曾尋求耶和華，他就應允我，救我脫離了一切的恐懼。凡仰望他的，便有光榮；他們的臉必不蒙羞。我這困苦人呼求，耶和華便垂聽，救我脫離一切患難。

到那日，你必說：耶和華啊，我要稱謝你！因為你雖然向我發怒，你的怒氣卻已轉消；你又安慰了我。

凡敬畏神的人，你們都來聽！我要述說他為我所行的事。

耶和華如此說：我要使平安延及她，好像江河，使列國的榮耀延及她，如同漲溢的河。你們要從中享受；你們必蒙抱在肋旁，搖弄在膝上。母親怎樣安慰兒子，我就照樣安慰你們；你們也必因耶路撒冷得安慰。你們看見，就心中快樂；你們的骨頭必得滋潤像嫩草一樣；而且耶和華的手向他僕人所行的必被人知道；他也要向仇敵發惱恨。

但保惠師，就是父因我的名所要差來的聖靈，他要將一切的事指教你們，並且要叫你們想起我對你們所說的一切話。

我向你陳明我的罪，不隱瞞我的惡。我說：我要向耶和華承認我的過犯，你就赦免我的罪惡。（細拉）

我不撇下你們為孤兒，我必到你們這裏來。

耶路撒冷的荒場啊，要發起歡聲，一同歌唱；因為耶和華安慰了他的百姓，救贖了耶路撒冷。

我們既多受基督的苦楚，就靠基督多得安慰。我們受患難呢，是為叫你們得安慰，得拯救；我們得安慰呢，也是為叫你們得安慰；這安慰能叫你們忍受我們所受的那樣苦楚。

故此，我們得了安慰。並且在安慰之中，因你們眾人使提多心裏暢快歡喜，我們就更加歡喜了。

所以，你們當用這些話彼此勸慰。

耶和華已經安慰錫安和錫安一切的荒場，使曠野像伊甸，使沙漠像耶和華的園囿；在其中必有歡喜、快樂、感謝，和歌唱的聲音。

並且那在主裏的弟兄多半因我受的捆鎖就篤信不疑，越發放膽傳神的道，無所懼怕。

不飢不渴，炎熱和烈日必不傷害他們；因為憐恤他們的必引導他們，領他們到水泉旁邊。

求你向我顯出恩待我的憑據，叫恨我的人看見便羞愧，因為你－耶和華幫助我，安慰我。
