所有敬畏神的人哪，你们都当来听！我要讲述他为我所做的事。

因为耶和华如此说：“看哪！我必向她广赐平安，如同江河；广赐列国的荣耀，如同漫溢的河水。你们必吃奶，被抱在胯上，摇弄在膝上。母亲怎样安慰儿子，我也怎样安慰你们；你们必在耶路撒冷受安慰。”那时，你们看见了就心里欢喜，你们的骨头必像嫩草一样兴盛；耶和华的手必向他的仆人们显明，他必对他的仇敌恼怒。

因为基督的苦难怎样充充满满临到我们，藉着基督，我们的安慰也照样充充满满。我们如果受患难，是为了你们的安慰和救恩；我们如果受安慰，也是为了你们的安慰；这安慰有功效，使你们能忍耐与我们所受的同样苦难。

为此，我们受到了安慰。在这安慰之外，我们又因着提多的喜乐更是格外喜乐，因为他的心灵被你们大家所安抚。

所以，你们当用这些话彼此鼓励。

耶和华必安慰锡安，安慰锡安所有的废墟，使她的旷野如伊甸，使她的荒漠像耶和华的园子；其中必有欢喜和快乐，必有感谢和歌唱的声音。

并且大多数的弟兄因着我所受的捆锁，就在主里深信不疑、无所惧怕，更加大胆地传讲这话语。

他们既不饥饿也不口渴，炎热和太阳也不会伤害他们，因为那怜悯他们的必引领他们，带领他们到水泉旁边。

求你向我显出恩宠的标记，愿恨我的人看见就蒙羞；因为你耶和华帮助我、安慰我。
