这样，彼得被拘留在监狱里，教会却为他热切地向神祷告。

最后，弟兄们，请为我们祷告：愿主的福音能迅速传开，并且得着荣耀，就像在你们那里一样；

弟兄们，藉着我们的主耶稣基督、藉着圣灵的爱，我恳求你们与我一同竭力为我向神祷告：愿神救我脱离犹太地区不肯信从的人，也使我为耶路撒冷的这服事可以蒙圣徒们的悦纳，好让我能照着神的旨意，快快乐乐地到你们那里去，和你们同得安息。

弟兄们，请为我们祷告。

所以你们当彼此认罪，彼此代求，好使你们得痊愈。义人所做的祈祷是大有力量的。以利亚和我们同样是人，但他用祷告来祈求不要降雨，果然地上三年零六个月没有降雨。后来他又祷告，天就降下雨水，地也产出果实来。

你们要以各样的祷告和祈求，藉着圣灵时刻祈祷；而且为此警醒，以极大的忍耐，为所有圣徒祈求，也为我祈求，好使我在开口的时候被赐予话语，能坦然无惧地让人明白福音的奥秘——

使你们在一切事上都得以富足，以致十分慷慨，就藉着我们生出对神的感谢之心。因为这服事的工作，不仅补足了圣徒们的缺乏，并且能藉着对神的许多感谢而充实满溢。

将军的主人亚述王派他来辱骂永生的神，或许耶和华你的神听见了他的话，就会斥责所听见的那些话。因此，求你为幸存的余剩之民献上祷告。’”

并且他们因着神赐给你们这无限的恩典，就切切地想念你们，为你们祈祷。

耶路撒冷啊！我在你城墙上指派了守望的，他们整日整夜一直不静默。记念耶和华的啊！你们不要静息，也不要让他静息，直到他坚立耶路撒冷，使耶路撒冷在地上成为受人赞美的。
