我先前不信他们的话，等到我来了，亲眼看见了，才知道你智慧的伟大，人告诉我的还不到一半。你实在是见面胜似闻名。

But I did not believe what they said until I came and saw with my own eyes. Indeed, not even half the greatness of your wisdom was told me; you have far exceeded the report I heard.

But I didn’t believe what people were saying. So I came to see for myself. And now I believe it! You are twice as wise as people say you are. The report I heard doesn’t even begin to tell the whole story about you.

but I did not believe the reports until I came and my own eyes had seen it. And behold, half the greatness of your wisdom was not told me; you surpass the report that I heard.

I didn’t believe what was said until I arrived here and saw it with my own eyes. In fact, I had not heard the half of your great wisdom! It is far beyond what I was told.

他们将是多么的善，多么的美；五谷和新酒使少男少女生气蓬勃。

于是她对王说：“我在本国听见关于你的事和你的智慧，实在是真的。

万族之中和地上列王之中，听闻所罗门的智慧的，都有人来听所罗门的智慧。（本章第21~34节在《马索拉文本》为5:1~14）

你这女子中最美丽的啊！你的良人比别人的良人有什么更可爱之处呢？你的良人比别人的良人有什么更可爱之处呢？以致你这样嘱咐我们呢？我的良人红光满面，是万人中的表表者。他的头像精金，他的头发如棕树枝厚密，像乌鸦那么黑。他的眼好像溪水旁的鸽子，在奶中洗净，塑得合式。他的两颊如香花畦，又如香草台；他的嘴唇像百合花，滴下没药汁。他的双手像金管，镶嵌着水苍玉；他的躯体如象牙块，周围包着蓝宝石。他的双腿像大理石柱，安放在精金的座上；他的容貌如黎巴嫩山，像佳美的香柏树。他的口甜蜜；他全然可爱。耶路撒冷的众女子啊！这就是我的良人，我的朋友。

耶和华啊！你为敬畏你的人所珍藏的好处，为投靠你的人在世人面前所施行的恩惠，是多么丰盛。

他比万人都有智慧，胜过以斯拉人以探和玛曷的三个儿子希幔、甲各、达大的智慧。他的名声传遍了四周列国。

其他的门徒对他说：“我们已经见过主了。”多马对他们说：“除非我亲眼看见他手上的钉痕，用我的指头探入那钉痕，又用我的手探入他的肋旁，我决不相信。”过了八天，门徒又在屋子里，多马也和他们在一起。门户都关上了。耶稣来了，站在他们中间，说：“愿你们平安。”然后对多马说：“把你的指头放在这里，看看我的手吧！伸出你的手来，探探我的肋旁！不要疑惑，只要信！”多马对他说：“我的主！我的神！”耶稣说：“你因为看见我才信吗？那些没有看见就信的人，是有福的。”

以前我并不相信那些话，等到我来了，亲眼看见，才知道人告诉我的还不到一半；你的智慧和财富，超过我所听闻的。

正如经上所记：“神为爱他的人所预备的，是眼睛未曾见过，耳朵未曾听过，人心也未曾想到的。”

亲爱的，现在我们是神的儿女，将来怎样，还没有显明；然而我们知道：主若显现，我们必要像他，因为我们必要看见他本来是怎样的。
