那時正是冬天，在耶路撒冷有獻殿節。

看哪，我要為耶和華－我神的名建造殿宇，分別為聖獻給他，在他面前燒芬芳的香，經常獻供餅，每早晚、安息日、初一，以及耶和華－我們神所定的節期獻燔祭。這是以色列人永遠的定例。

會眾所奉的燔祭數目如下：七十頭公牛、一百隻公羊、二百隻羔羊，這些全都是要作燔祭獻給耶和華的；又有分別為聖之物，就是六百頭公牛、三千隻綿羊。

王的本分是在節期、初一、安息日，就是以色列家一切的盛會，奉上燔祭、素祭、澆酒祭。他要獻上贖罪祭、素祭、燔祭和平安祭，為以色列家贖罪。」

所羅門王和聚集到他那裏的以色列全會眾都在約櫃前獻牛羊為祭，多得不可勝數，無法計算。

次日，他們向耶和華獻平安祭和燔祭，獻一千頭公牛、一千隻公綿羊、一千隻羔羊，以及同獻的澆酒祭，並為以色列眾人獻許多的祭。

以色列人、祭司和利未人，以及其餘被擄歸回的人都歡歡喜喜地為神的這殿行奉獻禮。他們為這神殿的奉獻禮獻了一百頭公牛、二百隻公綿羊、四百隻小綿羊，又照以色列支派的數目獻十二隻公山羊，作以色列眾人的贖罪祭。

王和全以色列一同在耶和華面前獻祭。所羅門向耶和華獻平安祭，二萬二千頭牛，十二萬隻羊。這樣，王和全以色列為耶和華的殿行了奉獻之禮。

所羅門上到耶和華面前會幕的銅壇那裏，在壇上獻一千祭牲為燔祭。

耶和華豈喜悅千千的公羊，或是萬萬的油河嗎？我豈可為自己的過犯獻我的長子，為自己的罪惡獻我所親生的嗎？」

用膏抹祭壇的那一天，眾領袖前來為獻壇奉獻；眾領袖都在祭壇前獻供物。

那日他們從所取的擄物中，將七百頭牛和七千隻羊獻給耶和華。

約西亞從羣畜中賜給所有在場的百姓，三萬隻小綿羊和小山羊，三千頭牛，作逾越節的祭物；這些都是出自王的產業。約西亞的眾領袖也樂意把祭牲給百姓、祭司和利未人；管理神殿的希勒家、撒迦利亞、耶歇，把二千六百隻羔羊和三百頭牛給祭司作逾越節的祭物。利未人的族長歌楠雅和他兩個兄弟示瑪雅、拿坦業，與哈沙比雅、耶利、約撒拔，把五千隻羔羊和五百頭牛給利未人作逾越節的祭物。

猶大王希西家賜給會眾一千頭公牛、七千隻羊；眾領袖也賜給會眾一千頭公牛、一萬隻羊，並有許多祭司將自己分別為聖。
