那時候在耶路撒冷有獻殿節；是冬天。

你看我，我要為永恆主我的上帝的名建殿，分別為聖獻與他，好在他面前燒芬芳材料的香，擺長供的陳設餅，每日早晚、安息日、初一日、和永恆主我們的上帝所制定的節期上獻燔祭；這在以色列人身上是永遠的本份。

大眾所奉來的燔祭、其數目是：公牛七十隻、公綿羊一百隻、羊羔二百隻：這些祭牲都是做燔祭獻與永恆主的。又有分別為聖之物：公牛六百隻、綿羊三千隻。

人君的本分是在節期、月初一、安息日、以色列家一切制定節期上、奉上燔祭、素祭、奠祭；是他要供備解罪祭、素祭、燔祭，和平安祭、來替以色列家除罪的。

所羅門王和那些會集到他那裏的以色列全會眾都在約櫃前宰獻牛羊為祭，多到不能計算、不能數點。

第二天他們向永恆主獻祭，也向永恆主獻上燔祭；那一天共獻了公牛一千隻、公綿羊一千隻、羊羔一千隻、以及和這些祭牲同獻的奠祭、並為以色列眾人宰獻的許多祭。

以色列人、祭司和利未人、以及其餘被擄返回的人、都歡歡喜喜舉行這上帝之殿的奉獻禮。在這上帝之殿的奉獻禮上，他們供獻了公牛一百隻、公綿羊二百隻、綿羊羔四百隻；又照以色列族派的數目供獻了公山羊十二隻、為以色列眾人做解罪祭。

王和以色列眾人都同他一起在永恆主面前宰獻了祭牲。所羅門宰獻了他所獻與永恆主的平安祭：是牛二萬二千隻，羊十二萬隻：這樣，王和以色列眾人就為永恆主的殿行了奉獻禮。

所羅門上到那裏、到會棚裏永恆主面前的銅壇旁，獻上成千的燔祭牲在壇上。

難道永恆主還喜悅千千的公羊，或萬萬的油河麼？難道我可為我的過犯獻我的長子？為我的罪獻我身所生的果子麼？

當膏油抹祭壇的日子、眾首領也獻上奉獻祭壇的禮物；眾首長把他們的供物獻在祭壇前。

那一天他們從所取的掠物中將牛七百隻羊七千隻牽來，祭獻與永恆主。

於是約西亞提獻了羊羣中的綿羊羔和山羊羔給所有在場的眾人做逾越節的祭牲：總數共有三萬隻；還有公牛三千隻：都是從王的活財物中取的。約西亞的大臣也自願將祭牲提獻給人民、給祭司和利未人；又有上帝之殿的總務希勒家、撒迦利亞、耶歇、也將羊羔二千六百隻、公牛三百隻、給了祭司做逾越節的祭牲。利未人的族長、歌楠雅和歌楠雅的兩個兄弟示瑪雅、拿坦業，和哈沙比雅、耶利、約撒拔、也提獻了羊羔五千隻、公牛五百隻給利未人做逾越節的祭牲。

猶大王希西家提獻了公牛一千隻，羊七千隻給大眾；首領們也提獻了公牛一千隻、羊一萬隻給大眾；因此許多祭司便潔淨自己為聖、以便供職。
