then I will establish the throne of your dynasty. For I made this covenant with your father, David, when I said,‘ One of your descendants will always rule over Israel.’

則我必鞏固爾國位、昔我與爾父大衛立約曰、爾嗣必繼爾治以色列民、永遠不絕、我必踐其言、

I will establish your royal throne, as I covenanted with David your father when I said,‘ You shall never fail to have a successor to rule over Israel.’

Then I will set up your royal throne. I made a covenant with your father David to do that. I said to him,‘ You will always have a son from your family line to rule over Israel.’

then I will establish your royal throne, as I covenanted with David your father, saying,‘ You shall not lack a man to rule Israel.’

I will establish your royal throne, as I promised your father David: You will never fail to have a man ruling in Israel.

then I will establish your royal throne as I covenanted with your father David, saying,‘ You shall not lack a man to be ruler in Israel.’

then I will establish the throne of your kingdom, as I covenanted with David your father, saying,‘ You shall not fail to have a man as ruler in Israel.’

then I will establish the throne of thy kingdom, according as I covenanted with David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man to be ruler in Israel.

I will establish your royal throne, as I promised your father David: You will never fail to have a man ruling in Israel.

Then will I stablish the throne of thy kingdom, according as I have covenanted with David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man[ to be] ruler in Israel.

Then I will establish your dynasty, just as I promised your father David,‘ You will not fail to have a successor ruling over Israel.’

then I will establish the throne of your kingdom, according as I covenanted with David your father, saying,‘ There shall not fail you a man to be ruler in Israel.’

“ And now, O Lord, God of Israel, carry out the additional promise you made to your servant David, my father. For you said to him,‘ If your descendants guard their behavior and faithfully follow my Law as you have done, one of them will always sit on the throne of Israel.’

He is the one who will build a house— a temple— for my name. And I will secure his royal throne forever.I will be his father, and he will be my son. If he sins, I will correct and discipline him with the rod, like any father would do.But my favor will not be taken from him as I took it from Saul, whom I removed from your sight.Your house and your kingdom will continue before me for all time, and your throne will be secure forever.’”

then I will establish the throne of your dynasty over Israel forever. For I made this promise to your father, David:‘ One of your descendants will always sit on the throne of Israel.’

“ This is what the Lord says: If you can break my covenant with the day and the night so that one does not follow the other,only then will my covenant with my servant David be broken. Only then will he no longer have a descendant to reign on his throne. The same is true for my covenant with the Levitical priests who minister before me.

The Lord swore an oath to David with a promise he will never take back:“ I will place one of your descendants on your throne.If your descendants obey the terms of my covenant and the laws that I teach them, then your royal line will continue forever and ever.”

I will love him and be kind to him forever; my covenant with him will never end.I will preserve an heir for him; his throne will be as endless as the days of heaven.But if his descendants forsake my instructions and fail to obey my regulations,if they do not obey my decrees and fail to keep my commands,then I will punish their sin with the rod, and their disobedience with beating.But I will never stop loving him nor fail to keep my promise to him.No, I will not break my covenant; I will not take back a single word I said.I have sworn an oath to David, and in my holiness I cannot lie:His dynasty will go on forever; his kingdom will endure as the sun.It will be as eternal as the moon, my faithful witness in the sky!” InterludeBut now you have rejected him and cast him off. You are angry with your anointed king.You have renounced your covenant with him; you have thrown his crown in the dust.You have broken down the walls protecting him and ruined every fort defending him.

But this is what the Lord says: I would no more reject my people than I would change my laws that govern night and day, earth and sky.I will never abandon the descendants of Jacob or David, my servant, or change the plan that David’s descendants will rule the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Instead, I will restore them to their land and have mercy on them.”
