耶和華像在基遍一樣再次向他顯現，

你們的上帝耶和華要在你們眾支派中選一個地方作祂的居所，你們要去那裡敬拜祂，把你們的燔祭及其他祭物、十一奉獻、舉祭、還願祭、自願獻的祭和頭生的牛羊帶到那裡。

當天晚上，上帝向所羅門顯現，問他：「你要我給你什麼？只管求吧。」

你們要把我吩咐你們獻的燔祭、各種牲祭、十一奉獻、舉祭和一切還願祭帶到你們的上帝耶和華選定的敬拜場所。

我們若按著上帝的旨意祈求，祂必垂聽，這是我們對上帝的信心。我們既然知道上帝垂聽我們一切的祈求，就知道我們能得到所求的。

然而，上帝聽了我的禱告，傾聽了我的祈求。

說，『哥尼流，上帝已經垂聽了你的禱告，也悅納你賙濟窮人的善行。

天使對他說：「撒迦利亞，不要害怕，你的禱告已蒙垂聽。你的妻子伊莉莎白要為你生一個兒子，你要給他取名叫約翰。

祂揀選了猶大支派，祂所喜愛的錫安山。祂為自己建造高聳的聖所，使它像大地一樣長存。

亞伯蘭九十九歲那年，耶和華向他顯現說：「我是全能的上帝。你要遵行我的旨意，做純全無過的人。

耶和華啊，你知道困苦人的願望，你必垂聽他們的呼求，安慰他們。

我已選擇這殿，使之聖潔，永遠歸在我的名下，我的眼和我的心必常在那裡。

因為耶和華已經揀選了錫安，願意將錫安作為祂的居所。祂說：「這是我永遠的居所；我要住在這裡，因為我喜愛這地方。

以利亞對以利沙說：「你留在這裡吧，耶和華差遣我去約旦河。」以利沙說：「我憑永活的耶和華和你的性命起誓，我決不離開你。」於是二人繼續前行。

「回去告訴我子民的首領希西迦，『你祖先大衛的上帝耶和華說，我已聽見你的禱告，看見了你的眼淚。我要醫治你，三天後你就可以上耶和華的殿。
