“ When your people go to war against their enemies, wherever you send them, and when they pray to you toward this city you have chosen and the temple I have built for your Name,

And it shall come to pass, when they come out against us, as at the first, that we will flee before them;and they will come out after us, till we have drawn them away from the city; for they will say, They flee before us, as at the first: so we will flee before them;and ye shall rise up from the ambush, and take possession of the city: for Jehovah your God will deliver it into your hand.And it shall be, when ye have seized upon the city, that ye shall set the city on fire; according to the word of Jehovah shall ye do: see, I have commanded you.

I have surely built thee a house of habitation, a place for thee to dwell in for ever.

And there came out against them Zerah the Ethiopian with an army of a thousand thousand, and three hundred chariots; and he came unto Mareshah.Then Asa went out to meet him, and they set the battle in array in the valley of Zephathah at Mareshah.And Asa cried unto Jehovah his God, and said, Jehovah, there is none besides thee to help, between the mighty and him that hath no strength: help us, O Jehovah our God; for we rely on thee, and in thy name are we come against this multitude. O Jehovah, thou art our God; let not man prevail against thee.So Jehovah smote the Ethiopians before Asa, and before Judah; and the Ethiopians fled.

and Jehovah sent thee on a journey, and said, Go, and utterly destroy the sinners the Amalekites, and fight against them until they be consumed.

Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass.

but I have chosen Jerusalem, that my name might be there, and have chosen David to be over my people Israel.

And it came to pass after the death of Joshua, that the children of Israel asked of Jehovah, saying, Who shall go up for us first against the Canaanites, to fight against them?And Jehovah said, Judah shall go up: behold, I have delivered the land into his hand.

What then shall one answer the messengers of the nation? That Jehovah hath founded Zion, and in her shall the afflicted of his people take refuge.

Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel.Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, to you have I given it, as I spake unto Moses.From the wilderness, and this Lebanon, even unto the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and unto the great sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your border.There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee; I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

And Judah gathered themselves together, to seek help of Jehovah: even out of all the cities of Judah they came to seek Jehovah.

If thy people go out to battle against their enemy, by whatsoever way thou shalt send them, and they pray unto Jehovah toward the city which thou hast chosen, and toward the house which I have built for thy name;then hear thou in heaven their prayer and their supplication, and maintain their cause.

And when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house( now his windows were open in his chamber toward Jerusalem) and he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.
