“ As for the foreigner who does not belong to your people Israel but has come from a distant land because of your great name and your mighty hand and your outstretched arm— when they come and pray toward this temple,

“ Suppose an outsider who doesn’t belong to your people Israel has come from a land far away. They have come because they’ve heard about your great name. They have heard that you reached out your mighty hand and powerful arm. So they come and pray toward this temple.

“ Likewise, when a foreigner, who is not of your people Israel, comes from a far country for the sake of your great name and your mighty hand and your outstretched arm, when he comes and prays toward this house,

“ In the future, foreigners who do not belong to your people Israel will hear of you. They will come from distant lands when they hear of your great name and your strong hand and your powerful arm. And when they pray toward this Temple,

“ Also concerning the foreigner who is not from Your people Israel, when he comes from a far country on account of Your great name and Your mighty hand and Your outstretched arm, when they come and pray toward this house,

“ Moreover, concerning a foreigner, who is not of Your people Israel, but has come from a far country for the sake of Your great name and Your mighty hand and Your outstretched arm, when they come and pray in this temple;

Moreover concerning the foreigner, that is not of thy people Israel, when he shall come from a far country for thy great name’s sake, and thy mighty hand, and thine outstretched arm; when they shall come and pray toward this house:

Even for the foreigner who is not of Your people Israel but has come from a distant land because of Your great name and Your mighty hand and outstretched arm: when he comes and prays toward this temple,

Moreover concerning the stranger, which is not of thy people Israel, but is come from a far country for thy great name’s sake, and thy mighty hand, and thy stretched out arm; if they come and pray in this house;

“ Moreover concerning the foreigner, who is not of your people Israel, when he comes from a far country for your great name’s sake, and your mighty hand, and your outstretched arm; when they come and pray toward this house;

No foreigner who becomes a follower of the LORD should say,‘ The LORD will certainly exclude me from his people.’ The eunuch should not say,‘ Look, I am like a dried-up tree.’”For this is what the LORD says:“ For the eunuchs who observe my Sabbaths and choose what pleases me and are faithful to my covenant,I will set up within my temple and my walls a monument that will be better than sons and daughters. I will set up a permanent monument for them that will remain.As for foreigners who become followers of the LORD and serve him, who love the name of the LORD and want to be his servants– all who observe the Sabbath and do not defile it, and who are faithful to my covenant–I will bring them to my holy mountain; I will make them happy in the temple where people pray to me. Their burnt offerings and sacrifices will be accepted on my altar, for my temple will be known as a temple where all nations may pray.”

“ Foreigners, who do not belong to your people Israel, will come from a distant land because of your reputation.When they hear about your great reputation and your ability to accomplish mighty deeds, they will come and direct their prayers toward this temple.Then listen from your heavenly dwelling place and answer all the prayers of the foreigners. Then all the nations of the earth will acknowledge your reputation, obey you like your people Israel do, and recognize that this temple I built belongs to you.

But I know that the king of Egypt will not let you go, not even under force.So I will extend my hand and strike Egypt with all my wonders that I will do among them, and after that he will release you.

They told him,“ Your subjects have come from a very distant land because of the reputation of the LORD your God, for we have heard the news about all he did in Egypt

Now some Greeks were among those who had gone up to worship at the feast.

So he got up and went. There he met an Ethiopian eunuch, a court official of Candace, queen of the Ethiopians, who was in charge of all her treasury. He asked him,“ Do you understand what you’re reading?”The man replied,“ How in the world can I, unless someone guides me?” So he invited Philip to come up and sit with him.Now the passage of scripture the man was reading was this:“ He was led like a sheep to slaughter, and like a lamb before its shearer is silent, so he did not open his mouth.In humiliation justice was taken from him. Who can describe his posterity? For his life was taken away from the earth.”Then the eunuch said to Philip,“ Please tell me, who is the prophet saying this about– himself or someone else?”So Philip started speaking, and beginning with this scripture proclaimed the good news about Jesus to him.Now as they were going along the road, they came to some water, and the eunuch said,“ Look, there is water! What is to stop me from being baptized?”

Then all who survive from all the nations that came to attack Jerusalem will go up annually to worship the King, the LORD who rules over all, and to observe the Feast of Tabernacles.But if any of the nations anywhere on earth refuse to go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD who rules over all, they will get no rain.

When Jesus heard this he was amazed and said to those who followed him,“ I tell you the truth, I have not found such faith in anyone in Israel!I tell you, many will come from the east and west to share the banquet with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven,

Boaz replied to her,“ I have been given a full report of all that you have done for your mother-in-law following the death of your husband– how you left your father and your mother, as well as your homeland, and came to live among people you did not know previously.May the LORD reward your efforts! May your acts of kindness be repaid fully by the LORD God of Israel, from whom you have sought protection!”

Now there was a man in Caesarea named Cornelius, a centurion of what was known as the Italian Cohort.He was a devout, God- fearing man, as was all his household; he did many acts of charity for the people and prayed to God regularly.About three o’clock one afternoon he saw clearly in a vision an angel of God who came in and said to him,“ Cornelius.”Staring at him and becoming greatly afraid, Cornelius replied,“ What is it, Lord?” The angel said to him,“ Your prayers and your acts of charity have gone up as a memorial before God.

She told her mistress,“ If only my master were in the presence of the prophet who is in Samaria! Then he would cure him of his skin disease.”

In the future, when your son asks you‘ What is this?’ you are to tell him,‘ With a mighty hand the LORD brought us out from Egypt, from the land of slavery.

She said to the men,“ I know the LORD is handing this land over to you. We are absolutely terrified of you, and all who live in the land are cringing before you.

that you were at that time without the Messiah, alienated from the citizenship of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.But now in Christ Jesus you who used to be far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ.

But Ruth replied,“ Stop urging me to abandon you! For wherever you go, I will go. Wherever you live, I will live. Your people will become my people, and your God will become my God.

He and his entire entourage returned to the prophet. Naaman came and stood before him. He said,“ For sure I know that there is no God in all the earth except in Israel! Now, please accept a gift from your servant.”

“ Arise! Shine! For your light arrives! The splendor of the LORD shines on you!For, look, darkness covers the earth and deep darkness covers the nations, but the LORD shines on you; his splendor appears over you.Nations come to your light, kings to your bright light.Look all around you! They all gather and come to you– your sons come from far away and your daughters are escorted by guardians.Then you will look and smile, you will be excited and your heart will swell with pride. For the riches of distant lands will belong to you and the wealth of nations will come to you.Camel caravans will cover your roads, young camels from Midian and Ephah. All the merchants of Sheba will come, bringing gold and incense and singing praises to the LORD.All the sheep of Kedar will be gathered to you; the rams of Nebaioth will be available to you as sacrifices. They will go up on my altar acceptably, and I will bestow honor on my majestic temple.Who are these who float along like a cloud, who fly like doves to their shelters?Indeed, the coastlands look eagerly for me, the large ships are in the lead, bringing your sons from far away, along with their silver and gold, to honor the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, for he has bestowed honor on you.Foreigners will rebuild your walls; their kings will serve you. Even though I struck you down in my anger, I will restore my favor and have compassion on you.

I have other sheep that do not come from this sheepfold. I must bring them too, and they will listen to my voice, so that there will be one flock and one shepherd.

When Elisha the prophet heard that the king had torn his clothes, he sent this message to the king,“ Why did you tear your clothes? Send him to me so he may know there is a prophet in Israel.”

Many peoples and powerful nations will come to Jerusalem to seek the LORD who rules over all and to ask his favor.
