every prayer or petition that any person or that all your people Israel may have— they each know their own affliction and suffering— as they spread out their hands toward this temple,

爾民以色列、或一人、或眾人、自覺其殃其苦、若向此室張手、無論何所禱、何所祈、

如以色列族中知其艱苦、不論何事、展舒其手、向斯殿以祈求、

主之民以色列、無論何人、自覺己心之憂痛愁苦、向此殿舉手、無論何祈何禱、

and when a prayer or plea is made by anyone among your people Israel— being aware of their afflictions and pains, and spreading out their hands toward this temple—

But suppose one of your people prays to you. They ask you to help them. They are aware of how much they are suffering. And they spread out their hands toward this temple to pray.

whatever prayer, whatever plea is made by any man or by all your people Israel, each knowing his own affliction and his own sorrow and stretching out his hands toward this house,

and if your people Israel pray about their troubles or sorrow, raising their hands toward this Temple,

whatever prayer or plea is made by anyone or by all Your people Israel, each knowing his own affliction and his own pain, and spreading his hands toward this house,

whatever prayer, whatever supplication is made by anyone, or by all Your people Israel, when each one knows his own burden and his own grief, and spreads out his hands to this temple:

what prayer and supplication soever be made by any man, or by all thy people Israel, who shall know every man his own plague and his own sorrow, and shall spread forth his hands toward this house:

whatever prayer or petition anyone from your people Israel might have— each man knowing his own affliction and suffering, and spreading out his hands toward this temple—

[ Then] what prayer[ or] what supplication soever shall be made of any man, or of all thy people Israel, when every one shall know his own sore and his own grief, and shall spread forth his hands in this house:

When all your people Israel pray and ask for help, as they acknowledge their intense pain and spread out their hands toward this temple,

whatever prayer and supplication is made by any man, or by all your people Israel, who will each know his own plague and his own sorrow, and shall spread out his hands toward this house;

Happy is the nation whose God is the LORD— the people he has chosen to be his own possession!The LORD looks down from heaven; he observes everyone.

The heart knows its own bitterness, and no outsider shares in its joy.

When he calls out to me, I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble. I will rescue him and give him honor.

Call on me in a day of trouble; I will rescue you, and you will honor me.”

Then Solomon stood before the altar of the LORD in front of the entire congregation of Israel and spread out his hands.For Solomon had made a bronze platform 7½ feet long, 7½ feet wide, and 4½ feet high and put it in the court. He stood on it, knelt down in front of the entire congregation of Israel, and spread out his hands toward heaven.

I cry aloud to the LORD; I plead aloud to the LORD for mercy.I pour out my complaint before him; I reveal my trouble to him.

How joyful is a person whom the LORD does not charge with iniquity and in whose spirit is no deceit!When I kept silent, my bones became brittle from my groaning all day long.For day and night your hand was heavy on me; my strength was drained as in the summer’s heat. SelahThen I acknowledged my sin to you and did not conceal my iniquity. I said,“ I will confess my transgressions to the LORD,” and you forgave the guilt of my sin. SelahTherefore let everyone who is faithful pray to you immediately. When great floodwaters come, they will not reach him.

When you spread out your hands in prayer, I will refuse to look at you; even if you offer countless prayers, I will not listen. Your hands are covered with blood.
