以利亞與我們是同樣性情的人，他懇切地祈求不要下雨，地上就三年六個月沒有下雨。他又禱告，天就降下雨來，地就有了出產。

必有許多民族前往，說：「來吧，我們登耶和華的山，到雅各上帝的殿。他必將他的道指教我們，我們也要行他的路。」因為教誨必出於錫安，耶和華的言語必出於耶路撒冷。

「錫安的民哪，你們要歡喜，要因耶和華－你們的上帝快樂；因他賞賜你們合宜的秋雨，為你們降下甘霖，秋雨和春雨，和先前一樣。

耶和華說：那日我必應允，我必應允天，天必應允地，地必應允五穀、新酒和新的油；這些都必應允在耶斯列身上。

我要使他們和我山岡的四圍蒙福；我也必叫時雨落下，使福如甘霖降下。

外邦虛無的神明中有能降雨的嗎？天能自降甘霖嗎？耶和華－我們的上帝啊，不是你嗎？我們要等候你，因為這一切都是你所造的。

誰敬畏耶和華，耶和華必教導他當選擇的道路。

耶和華啊，求你將你的道指示我，將你的路指教我！求你指教我，引導我進入你的真理，因為你是救我的上帝。我整日等候你。

耶和華如此說：「你們當站在路邊察看，尋訪古老的路，哪裏是完善的道路，就行走在其上；這樣，你們自己必找到安息。他們卻說：『我們不走。』

使密雲盛滿水氣，烏雲散佈閃電。雲藉着他的指引遊行旋轉，在世界的地面上行他一切所吩咐的，或為責罰，或為他的地，或為慈愛，都是他所行的。「約伯啊，側耳聽這話，要站立，思想上帝奇妙的作為。

願耶和華－你的上帝指示我們當走的路，當做的事。」

春雨的季節，你們要向耶和華求雨。耶和華發出雷電，為眾人降下大雨，把田園的菜蔬賜給人。

耶和華是良善正直的，因此，他必教導罪人走正路。

他們心裏並不說：『我們應當敬畏耶和華－我們的上帝；他按時賜雨，就是秋雨和春雨，又為我們定收割的季節。』

「你的百姓若得罪了你，你使天閉塞不下雨；他們若向此處禱告，宣認你的名，因你的懲罰而離開他們的罪，求你在天上垂聽，赦免你僕人你百姓以色列的罪，將當行的善道教導他們，並降雨在你的地，就是你賜給你百姓為業之地。

在先知書上寫着：『他們都要蒙上帝教導。』凡聽了父的教導而學習的，都到我這裏來。

以利亞對他們說：「拿住巴力的先知，不讓任何人逃走！」眾人就拿住他們。以利亞帶他們到基順河邊，在那裏殺了他們。以利亞對亞哈說：「你現在可以上去吃喝，因為有暴雨的響聲了。」亞哈就上去吃喝。以利亞上了迦密山頂，屈身在地，把臉伏在兩膝之中。他對僕人說：「你上去，向海觀看。」僕人就上去觀看，說：「沒有甚麼。」以利亞說：「你再去。」如此七次。第七次，僕人說：「看哪，有一小片雲從海裏上來，好像人的手掌那麼大。」以利亞說：「你上去告訴亞哈，當套車下去，免得被雨阻擋。」霎時間，天因風雲黑暗，降下大雨。亞哈就坐上車，往耶斯列去了。

你或向左或向右，必聽見後邊有聲音說：「這是正路，要行在其間。」

上帝啊，你降下大雨；你的產業以色列疲乏的時候，你使他堅固。
