永恆主啊，你所管教，你用你的律法所教訓、

永恆主啊，將你律例的路指教我哦；我要步步恪守着。

以利亞是和我們同樣性質的人；他懇切禱告，求別下雨，雨就三年零六個月沒有下在地上。他又禱告，天就賜下雨水，地就產生果實來。

必有許多外國人要前來，說：『來，咱們來上永恆主的山，來登雅各之上帝的殿；好讓他將他的道路指教我們，使我們在他的路徑上行；因為教訓必出於錫安，永恆主的話必出於耶路撒冷。

『錫安的子民哪，要快樂，要靠着永恆主你們的上帝來歡喜；因為他賜給你們秋霖以顯義氣，他給你們降下甘霖，就是秋霖春雨、像先前一樣。

『永恆主發神諭說：當那日我必應允；我必應天；天必應地；地必應五穀、新酒、和新油，而這些土產必應耶斯列民；

我必使他們和我的山岡四圍成了使人蒙祝福的；我必使霖雨按時節下，它們必成了使人蒙祝福的霖雨。

外國人虛無的神之中有能降霖雨的麼？天能自降甘霖麼？能如此的豈不是你、永恆主我們的上帝麼？所以我們仍等候着你，因為是你行了這一切事。

誰是敬畏永恆主的人？永恆主就將他當選擇的路指教他。

永恆主啊，將你的道路指示我，將你的路徑教導我。憑你的忠信來帶領我，教導我；因為只有你是拯救我、的上帝；我終日切候的乃是你。

永恆主這麼說：『你們要站在路上察看，訪問往古的路徑，哪一條是好的路，你們便在那上頭行；這樣、你們就得安然。但他們卻說：「我們不在那上頭行。」

他使密雲積滿着濕氣；雲彩布散其光；這電光隨着上帝的指揮游行旋轉，得以在大地之世界行上帝一切所吩咐的。或是為作刑杖，以罰他的地，或是為顯堅愛、他才使電光閃耀着。『約伯啊，請側耳聽這話；請停止，來思念上帝奇妙的作為。

願永恆主你的上帝指示我們所應當走的路，所應該作的事。』

當春雨時候向永恆主求雨哦！永恆主是叫閃電閃發的，他必將傾盆大雨賜下給人，給人人青草在田地上。

永恆主是至善而正直；所以他必指教罪人走正路。

他們心裏也不說：「我們應當敬畏永恆主我們的上帝：他按時賜霖雨，就是秋霖春雨；又為我們存着收割的制定節令。」

『你人民因犯罪得罪了你，天便被制住而沒有雨水；你這樣懲罰他們，他們若向這聖地禱告，稱讚你的名，離開他們的罪而回轉過來，求你在天上垂聽，赦免你僕人和你人民以色列的罪，將他們應當行的好道路指教他們，賜雨水在你的地上、就是你賜給你人民做產業之地。

神言人書上寫着說：「他們都必做上帝所教訓的人」；凡從父聽訓而學習的人都必來找我。

以利亞對他們說：『將巴力的神言人捉住；一個也不可讓逃脫。』眾人就把他們捉住；以利亞將他們帶下去到基順谿谷中，在那裏把他們宰殺掉。以利亞對亞哈說：『你可以上去喫喝；因為有淋雨的怒號聲了。』亞哈就上去喫喝。以利亞上了迦密山頂，俯伏於地，將臉放在兩膝之間。對僮僕說：『你上去，沿往海的路向觀望。』僮僕就上去觀望，說：『沒有甚麼。』他說：『你再去七次就好了。』第七次僮僕說：『看哪，有一小片密雲、像人的手掌那麼大、從海裏上來。』以利亞說：『你上去、對亞哈說：「要套車下去，免得淋雨阻擋了你。」霎時間、天因風雲而黑暗，就降下了大雨來。亞哈便坐車、往耶斯列去了。

你偏於右、或偏於左、的時候，你總要親耳聽見，從後邊有話在說：『這就是路：你要行它！』

上帝啊，你下巨量大雨在你的產業上；它疲乏，你使它堅強過來；
