耶和華啊！你所管教，用律法教導的人，是有福的。

以利亞是與我們性情相同的人；他懇切祈求不要下雨，地上就三年零六個月沒有雨；他又祈禱，天就下雨，地就生出土產來。

必有多國的人前來說：“來吧！我們上耶和華的山，登雅各神的殿；他必把他的道路指示我們，我們也要遵行他的道；因為教訓必出於錫安。耶和華的話要來自耶路撒冷。

錫安的人民哪！你們要歡喜，要靠耶和華你們的神快樂，因為他賜給了你們合時的秋雨。他給你們降下時雨，就是秋雨春雨，像以前一樣。

耶和華說：“到那日，我必應允，我必應允天，天必應允地，地必應允五穀、新酒和油。這些必應允耶斯列（“耶斯列”意即“栽種”）。

我必使他們和我的山四圍都蒙福；我必按時降雨，這就是賜福的雨。

列國虛無的偶像中，有可以降雨的嗎？天能自降甘霖嗎？耶和華我們的神啊！能夠這樣作的，不是只有你嗎？所以我們仰望你，因為這一切都是你所作的。

誰是那敬畏耶和華的人？耶和華必指示他應選擇的道路。

耶和華啊！求你把你的道路指示我，求你把你的路徑教導我，求你以你的真理引導我，教訓我，因為你是拯救我的神；我整天等候的就是你。

耶和華這樣說：“你們要站在路上察看，尋訪遠古的路徑，看哪一條是美善的路，就走在其中；這樣，你們心裡就必得安息。他們卻說：‘我們不走在其中。’

他使密雲滿載水氣，雲彩布散他的電光。電光照著神的指引來往旋轉，在地球上行他一切所吩咐的。他使電光來臨，是為施行責罰，或為滋潤大地，或為賜予慈愛。約伯啊！你當留心聽這話，要站立思想神奇妙的事。

請為我們求耶和華你的神指示我們當走的路和該作的事。”

在春雨的季節，你們要向耶和華求雨。耶和華閃發雷電，給人降雨，使各人的田地生長蔬菜。

耶和華是良善和正直的，因此他必指示罪人走正路。

他們心裡也不想想：‘我們應當敬畏耶和華我們的神，他按時賜雨，就是秋雨春霖，又為我們保存定時收割的節令。’

“如果他們因為得罪了你，天就閉塞不下雨；他們若是向這地方禱告，承認你的名；又因你苦待他們，就離開他們的罪，求你在天上垂聽，赦免你僕人和你的子民以色列的罪，指示他們當行的善道，賜雨水在你的地上，就是你賜給你子民的產業之地。

先知書上記著：‘眾人都必受神的教導。’凡聽見從父那裡來的教訓而又學習的，必到我這裡來。

以利亞對他們說：“捉住巴力的先知，一個也不要讓他們逃脫。”於是眾人捉住他們。以利亞帶他們下到基順河邊，在那裡殺了他們。以利亞對亞哈說：“你上去吃喝吧！因為已經有下大雨的響聲了。”亞哈就上去吃喝。以利亞上了迦密山頂，屈身在地，把臉放在兩膝之間。以利亞對自己的僕人說：“你上去向海那邊觀看。”他就上去觀看，說：“甚麼也沒有。”以利亞說：“你再回去觀看。”這樣說了七次。到第七次，僕人說：“我看到一小片烏雲，好像人的手掌那麼大，正在從海裡升上來。”以利亞說：“你上去告訴亞哈：‘趕快套車下山，免得被大雨所阻。’”霎時之間，天空因風雲而變為黑暗，隨著降下大雨來。於是亞哈坐上了車，往耶斯列去了。

每當你偏左或偏右的時候，你必聽見後面有聲音說：“這是正路，要行在其中！”

神啊！你降下大雨，使你貧瘠的產業得到滋潤。
