凡所見之地、我必賜爾及爾後裔至於永遠、

如是主以全地賜以色列人、即昔所誓賜其列祖之地、以色列人據而居之、

厥後我醫愈斯邑居民之傷、以良藥使之得痊、賜以平康、待以誠實、我必使猶大及以色列之被擄者旋歸、我必建之如初、彼獲罪於我、叛逆乎我、惟我將潔其諸罪、赦其諸愆、天下萬國、聞我降福於斯民、亦必欣喜、揄揚我名、頌美我、歸榮於我、因我降福於耶路撒冷、賜以平康、必畏懼戰慄、畏懼戰慄或作詫異驚駭主如是云、爾曹曾言斯地荒蕪、無人無畜、厥後在此荒蕪、無人無居民無牲畜之猶大諸邑、及耶路撒冷之街衢、將復聞欣喜之聲、新娶者之聲、新婦之聲、必仍有人以酬恩祭、酬恩祭或作感謝祭奉入主殿、大聲呼曰、當頌美萬有之主、因主至善、主之恩惠永遠恆存、蓋我必使斯地之被擄者旋歸、我必使斯地之被擄者旋歸或作我必使斯地復興使綏安如初、此乃主所言、

主乃向百姓發怒、厭棄己民、交之於異邦人手、使之受敵人轄制、遭仇敵凌逼、悉伏於敵人手下、主屢次救之、彼仍設謀叛逆主、遂因罪惡消亡、斯民急難時、主仍眷顧之、俯聽其哀告、向其追念己約、回心轉意、大發仁慈、使之蒙憐恤在擄之之敵人前、求主我之天主拯救我儕、從異邦中集我以歸、我儕必讚美主之聖名、頌揚主德以為榮耀、

我昔誓賜亞伯拉罕以撒雅各之地、我必導爾至彼、賜爾為業、我乃耶和華也、

巴西王古列元年、主欲應耶利米所傳主之言、感巴西王古列之心、宣告遍國、並降詔曰、巴西王古列如是云、主天上之天主、以天下萬國賜我、命我在猶大之耶路撒冷、為之建殿、凡爾曹屬主之民者、願其天主祐之、可上猶大之耶路撒冷、為主以色列之天主、即居耶路撒冷之天主、建造殿宇、猶大所遺餘之民、無論居於何處、何處之民、當助之以金銀、貨財、牲畜、亦將為耶路撒冷天主之殿、樂輸之禮物付之、於是猶大與便雅憫之諸族長、祭司、利未人、及凡為天主所感者、咸起、欲上耶路撒冷、以建主殿、凡其四周之人、皆助之以銀器、黃金、貨財、牲畜、珍寶、此外亦付之一切樂輸之禮物、
