I have built a magnificent temple for you, a place for you to dwell forever.”

Behold, I am about to build a house for the name of the Lord my God, dedicating it to Him, to burn fragrant incense before Him and to set out the showbread continually, and to offer burnt offerings morning and evening, on Sabbaths, on new moons, and on the appointed feasts of the Lord our God. This is to be done in Israel forever.The house which I am about to build will be great, for our God is greater than all the gods.But who is able to build a house for Him, since the heavens and the highest heavens cannot contain Him? And who am I, that I should build a house for Him, except to burn incense before Him?

I have truly built You a lofty house, A place for Your dwelling forever.”

And I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying,“ Behold, the tabernacle of God is among the people, and He will dwell among them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself will be among them,

Until I find a place for the Lord, A dwelling place for the Mighty One of Jacob.”

Jesus* said to her,“ Believe Me, woman, that a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem.You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, because salvation is from the Jews.But a time is coming, and even now has arrived, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers.

Then David said to his son Solomon,“ Be strong and courageous, and act; do not fear nor be dismayed, for the Lord God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you until all the work for the service of the house of the Lord is finished.

He said to me,‘ Your son Solomon is the one who shall build My house and My courtyards; for I have chosen him to be a son to Me, and I will be a Father to him.

He shall build a house for My name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever.

Blessed be the Lord from Zion, Who dwells in Jerusalem. Praise the Lord!

He shall build a house for My name, and he shall be My son and I will be his Father; and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel forever.’Now, my son, the Lord be with you that you may be successful, and build the house of the Lord your God just as He has spoken concerning you.

For the Lord has chosen Zion; He has desired it as His dwelling place.“ This is My resting place forever; Here I will dwell, for I have desired it.

But when Christ appeared as a high priest of the good things having come, He entered through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made by hands, that is, not of this creation;and not through the blood of goats and calves, but through His own blood, He entered the holy place once for all time, having obtained eternal redemption.

He shall build for Me a house, and I will establish his throne forever.
