他用淨金作除罪蓋，長二肘半，寬一肘半。他用金子作兩個基路伯，用錘的法子來作，在除罪蓋的兩頭，這頭一個基路伯，那頭一個基路伯；他把兩個基路伯和除罪蓋相接連地製造、在蓋的兩頭。兩個基路伯高張着翅膀，用它們的翅膀遮掩着除罪蓋；基路伯的臉彼此相對；它們的臉都朝着除罪蓋。

祭司們將永恆主的約櫃抬到它的所在、就是內殿、至聖所、兩個基路伯的翅膀下面。基路伯張開它們的翅膀在約櫃的所在之上，以致基路伯在上面將櫃和櫃的杠都遮掩着。

他用橄欖木作兩個基路伯在內殿，各高十肘。一個基路伯的一個翅膀長五肘，那基路伯的另一個翅膀也長五肘：從這翅膀尖到那翅膀尖有十肘。那另一個基路伯的兩個翅膀也是十肘。兩個基路伯都是一樣的尺寸、一樣形狀。這一個基路伯高十肘，那一個基路伯也是這樣。他將兩個基路伯安在殿的儘內部；使基路伯的翅膀張開着：這一個基路伯的一個翅膀挨着這邊的牆；那一個基路伯的一個翅膀挨着那邊的牆；裏邊的兩個翅膀在殿中間彼此相挨着。他又用金子包上那兩個基路伯。

燈臺和燈盞、按照規定可以在內殿前面點的，是用精金作的，

永恆主啊，求你起來，你和你那有能力的約櫃同入安居所；
