Then Solomon assembled at Jerusalem the elders of Israel, all the heads of the tribes, and the leaders of the fathers’ households of the sons of Israel, to bring the ark of the covenant of the Lord up from the city of David, which is Zion.

Then Solomon summoned to Jerusalem the elders of Israel, all the heads of the tribes and the chiefs of the Israelite families, to bring up the ark of the Lord’s covenant from Zion, the City of David.

Then Solomon sent for the elders of Israel. He told them to come to Jerusalem. They included all the leaders of the tribes. They also included the chiefs of the families of Israel. Solomon wanted them to bring up the ark of the Lord’ s covenant from Zion. Zion was the City of David.

Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel and all the heads of the tribes, the leaders of the fathers’ houses of the people of Israel, in Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of the Lord out of the city of David, which is Zion.

Solomon then summoned to Jerusalem the elders of Israel and all the heads of tribes— the leaders of the ancestral families of Israel. They were to bring the Ark of the Lord’s Covenant to the Temple from its location in the City of David, also known as Zion.

At that time Solomon assembled at Jerusalem the elders of Israel— all the tribal heads, the ancestral chiefs of the Israelites— in order to bring the ark of the covenant of the LORD up from the city of David, that is, Zion.

Now Solomon assembled the elders of Israel and all the heads of the tribes, the chief fathers of the children of Israel, in Jerusalem, that they might bring the ark of the covenant of the Lord up from the City of David, which is Zion.

Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the princes of the fathers’ houses of the children of Israel, unto Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of Jehovah out of the city of David, which is Zion.

At that time Solomon assembled at Jerusalem the elders of Israel— all the tribal heads, the ancestral chiefs of the Israelites— in order to bring the ark of the covenant of the Lord up from the city of David, that is, Zion.

Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the chief of the fathers of the children of Israel, unto Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the city of David, which[ is] Zion.

Then Solomon convened Israel’s elders– all the leaders of the Israelite tribes and families– in Jerusalem, so they could witness the transferal of the ark of the covenant of the LORD from the City of David( that is, Zion).

Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the princes of the fathers’ households of the children of Israel, to Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of Yahweh’s covenant out of David’s city, which is Zion.

Now it was reported to King David, saying,“ The Lord has blessed the house of Obed edom and all that belongs to him, on account of the ark of God.” So David went and brought the ark of God up from the house of Obed edom to the city of David with joy.

However, David had brought up the ark of God from Kiriath jearim to the place he had prepared for it, for he had pitched a tent for it in Jerusalem.

This Shelomoth and his relatives were in charge of all the treasures of the dedicated gifts which King David and the heads of the fathers’ households, the commanders of thousands and hundreds, and the commanders of the army, had dedicated.

So they moved on from the mountain of the Lord three days’ journey, with the ark of the covenant of the Lord going on in front of them for the three days, to seek out a resting place for them.

And they brought in the ark of God and placed it inside the tent which David had pitched for it, and they offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before God.

So it was David, with the elders of Israel and the captains of thousands, who went to bring up the ark of the covenant of the Lord from the house of Obed edom with joy.

For the Lord has chosen Zion; He has desired it as His dwelling place.“ This is My resting place forever; Here I will dwell, for I have desired it.I will abundantly bless her food; I will satisfy her needy with bread.I will also clothe her priests with salvation, And her godly ones will sing aloud for joy.I will make the horn of David spring forth there; I have prepared a lamp for My anointed.

and all the Levitical singers, Asaph, Heman, Jeduthun, and their sons and kinsmen, clothed in fine linen, with cymbals, harps, and lyres, standing east of the altar, and with them 120 priests blowing trumpets

These also cast lots just as their relatives, the sons of Aaron did in the presence of David the king, Zadok, Ahimelech, and the heads of the fathers’ households of the priests and of the Levites— the head of fathers’ households as well as those of his younger brother.

Nevertheless, David captured the stronghold of Zion, that is, the city of David.

And when it came to rest, he said,“ Return, Lord, To the myriad thousands of Israel.”

So all the work that Solomon performed for the house of the Lord was finished. And Solomon brought in the things that his father David had dedicated, the silver, the gold, and all the utensils, and he put them in the treasuries of the house of God.

Now David assembled at Jerusalem all the officials of Israel, the leaders of the tribes, and the commanders of the divisions that served the king, the commanders of thousands, and the commanders of hundreds, and the overseers of all the property and livestock belonging to the king and his sons, with the officials and the mighty men, all the valiant warriors.

“ But as for Me, I have installed My King Upon Zion, My holy mountain.”

The Lord loves the gates of Zion More than all the other dwelling places of Jacob.

and he said to them,“ You are the heads of the fathers’ households of the Levites; consecrate yourselves, you and your relatives, so that you may bring up the ark of the Lord God of Israel to the place that I have prepared for it.

Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel and all the heads of the tribes, the leaders of the fathers’ households of the sons of Israel, to King Solomon in Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of the Lord from the city of David, that is, Zion.So all the men of Israel assembled themselves before King Solomon at the feast, in the month Ethanim, that is, the seventh month.Then all the elders of Israel came, and the priests took up the ark.And they brought up the ark of the Lord, the tent of meeting, and all the holy utensils which were in the tent; the priests and the Levites brought them up.And King Solomon and all the congregation of Israel, who were gathered together to him, were with him before the ark, sacrificing so many sheep and oxen that they could not be counted or numbered.Then the priests brought the ark of the covenant of the Lord to its place, into the inner sanctuary of the house, to the Most Holy Place, under the wings of the cherubim.For the cherubim spread their wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubim made a covering over the ark and its carrying poles from above.But the poles were so long that the ends of the poles could be seen from the holy place in front of the inner sanctuary, but they could not be seen outside; they are there to this day.There was nothing in the ark except the two tablets of stone which Moses put there at Horeb, where the Lord made a covenant with the sons of Israel, when they came out of the land of Egypt.And it happened that when the priests came from the holy place, the cloud filled the house of the Lord,so that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud, for the glory of the Lord filled the house of the Lord.

Shemaiah, the son of Nethanel the scribe, from the Levites, recorded them in the presence of the king, the leaders, Zadok the priest, Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, and the heads of the fathers’ households of the priests and the Levites; one father’s household taken for Eleazar and one taken for Ithamar.
