Then Solomon summoned to Jerusalem the elders of Israel, all the heads of the tribes and the chiefs of the Israelite families, to bring up the ark of the Lord’s covenant from Zion, the City of David.

Then Solomon sent for the elders of Israel. He told them to come to Jerusalem. They included all the leaders of the tribes. They also included the chiefs of the families of Israel. Solomon wanted them to bring up the ark of the Lord’ s covenant from Zion. Zion was the City of David.

Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel and all the heads of the tribes, the leaders of the fathers’ houses of the people of Israel, in Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of the Lord out of the city of David, which is Zion.

Solomon then summoned to Jerusalem the elders of Israel and all the heads of tribes— the leaders of the ancestral families of Israel. They were to bring the Ark of the Lord’s Covenant to the Temple from its location in the City of David, also known as Zion.

At that time Solomon assembled at Jerusalem the elders of Israel— all the tribal heads, the ancestral chiefs of the Israelites— in order to bring the ark of the covenant of the LORD up from the city of David, that is, Zion.

Then Solomon assembled at Jerusalem the elders of Israel, all the heads of the tribes, and the leaders of the fathers’ households of the sons of Israel, to bring the ark of the covenant of the Lord up from the city of David, which is Zion.

Now Solomon assembled the elders of Israel and all the heads of the tribes, the chief fathers of the children of Israel, in Jerusalem, that they might bring the ark of the covenant of the Lord up from the City of David, which is Zion.

Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the princes of the fathers’ houses of the children of Israel, unto Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of Jehovah out of the city of David, which is Zion.

At that time Solomon assembled at Jerusalem the elders of Israel— all the tribal heads, the ancestral chiefs of the Israelites— in order to bring the ark of the covenant of the Lord up from the city of David, that is, Zion.

Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the chief of the fathers of the children of Israel, unto Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the city of David, which[ is] Zion.

Then Solomon convened Israel’s elders– all the leaders of the Israelite tribes and families– in Jerusalem, so they could witness the transferal of the ark of the covenant of the LORD from the City of David( that is, Zion).

Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the princes of the fathers’ households of the children of Israel, to Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of Yahweh’s covenant out of David’s city, which is Zion.

有人告訴大衛王：“耶和華因為神的約櫃的緣故，賜福給俄別‧以東的家和一切屬他的。”大衛就去，歡歡喜喜把神的約櫃從俄別‧以東的家中抬上大衛的城裡去。

至於神的約櫃，大衛已經從基列．耶琳抬到他預備好的地方，因為他曾在耶路撒冷為約櫃蓋搭了一個帳幕。

這示羅密和他的兄弟掌管庫房裡的一切聖物，就是大衛王、眾家族首領、千夫長、百夫長和軍長所獻的聖物。

以色列人從耶和華的山起行，行了三天的路程，耶和華的約櫃在他們前面行了三天的路程，為他們尋找安息的地方。

他們把神的約櫃抬了進去，安放在大衛為它所搭的會幕中間，然後在神面前獻上了燔祭和平安祭。

於是大衛和以色列的眾長老，以及千夫長一起前去，從俄別．以東的家歡歡喜喜地把耶和華的約櫃抬上來。

因為耶和華揀選了錫安，定意把它當作自己的居所。他說：“這是我永遠安息的居所；我要住在這裡，因為我定意這樣作。我要賜給錫安豐盛的糧食，我要使城中的窮人飽足。我要使祭司都披上救恩，使聖民都大大歡呼。我要在那裡使大衛的角長起來，我要為我的受膏者安排明燈。

全體負責歌唱的利未人和亞薩、希幔、耶杜頓，以及他們的兒子和親族，都穿著細麻布的衣服，站在祭壇的東邊，敲鈸、鼓瑟、彈琴；和他們在一起的，還有一百二十個祭司吹號；

他們在大衛王、撒督、亞希米勒，以及祭司和利未人的家族首領面前也抽了籤，好像他們的親族亞倫的子孫一樣；各家族首領和他們年幼的兄弟都一樣抽了籤。

大衛卻攻取了錫安的保障，就是大衛的城。

約櫃停住的時候，他就說：“耶和華啊，求你歸來，回到以色列的千萬人中。”

所羅門為耶和華的殿所作的一切工程完成了以後，就把他父親大衛分別為聖的東西：金銀和一切器皿，都帶來存放在神殿的庫房裡。

大衛把以色列的眾領袖：各支派的領袖、輪班服事王的領袖、千夫長、百夫長、掌管王和王子們一切財產與牲畜的領袖，以及太監、顯貴和所有英勇的戰士，都召集到耶路撒冷來。

“我已經在錫安我的聖山上，立了我的君王。”

耶和華愛錫安的城門，勝過雅各的一切居所。

對他們說：“你們是利未人各家族的首領，你們和你們的親族都要自潔，好把以色列的神耶和華的約櫃抬上來，到我為它預備的地方去。

那時，所羅門把以色列的長老、各支派的首領和以色列的族長，都召集到耶路撒冷自己面前，要把耶和華的約櫃從大衛城，就是錫安運上來。於是，在以他念月，就是七月，在守節期的時候，以色列眾人都聚集到所羅門王那裡。以色列的眾長老都來到了，祭司們就把約櫃抬起來。祭司和利未人把耶和華的約櫃、會幕和會幕裡的一切聖器具都運上來。所羅門王和聚集到他那裡的以色列全體會眾，都一同在約櫃前獻牛羊為祭，數目多得不可勝數，無法計算。祭司把耶和華的約櫃抬進內殿為它預備的地方，就是至聖所，放在兩個基路伯的翅膀底下。因為基路伯展開翅膀在約櫃所在地的上面，遮掩約櫃和抬櫃的槓。這些槓很長，在內殿前的聖所可以看見槓頭，在殿外卻看不見；直到今日，這些槓還在那裡。約櫃裡面只有兩塊石版，這兩塊石版在以色列人出埃及地以後，耶和華與他們立約的時候，摩西在何烈山放在那裡的。祭司從聖所裡出來的時候，有雲彩充滿耶和華的殿，因為雲彩的緣故，祭司不能站立服事，因為耶和華的榮光充滿了聖殿。

作書記的利未人拿坦業的兒子示瑪雅，在君王、領袖、撒督祭司、亞比亞他的兒子亞希米勒，以及眾祭司家族和利未家族的首領面前，把他們的名字記錄下來。在以利亞撒的子孫中，有一家族被選取了；在以他瑪的子孫中，也有一家族被選取了。
