The same day did the king hallow the middle of the court that[ was] before the house of the LORD: for there he offered burnt offerings, and meat offerings, and the fat of the peace offerings: because the brasen altar that[ was] before the LORD[ was] too little to receive the burnt offerings, and meat offerings, and the fat of the peace offerings.

And these[ are] the measures of the altar after the cubits: The cubit[ is] a cubit and an hand breadth; even the bottom[ shall be] a cubit, and the breadth a cubit, and the border thereof by the edge thereof round about[ shall be] a span: and this[ shall be] the higher place of the altar.And from the bottom[ upon] the ground[ even] to the lower settle[ shall be] two cubits, and the breadth one cubit; and from the lesser settle[ even] to the greater settle[ shall be] four cubits, and the breadth[ one] cubit.So the altar[ shall be] four cubits; and from the altar and upward[ shall be] four horns.And the altar[ shall be] twelve[ cubits] long, twelve broad, square in the four squares thereof.And the settle[ shall be] fourteen[ cubits] long and fourteen broad in the four squares thereof; and the border about it[ shall be] half a cubit; and the bottom thereof[ shall be] a cubit about; and his stairs shall look toward the east.

And he brought also the brasen altar, which[ was] before the LORD, from the forefront of the house, from between the altar and the house of the LORD, and put it on the north side of the altar.And king Ahaz commanded Urijah the priest, saying, Upon the great altar burn the morning burnt offering, and the evening meat offering, and the king’s burnt sacrifice, and his meat offering, with the burnt offering of all the people of the land, and their meat offering, and their drink offerings; and sprinkle upon it all the blood of the burnt offering, and all the blood of the sacrifice: and the brasen altar shall be for me to enquire[ by].

And Solomon stood before the altar of the LORD in the presence of all the congregation of Israel, and spread forth his hands toward heaven:

And thou shalt make an altar[ of] shittim wood, five cubits long, and five cubits broad; the altar shall be foursquare: and the height thereof[ shall be] three cubits.And thou shalt make the horns of it upon the four corners thereof: his horns shall be of the same: and thou shalt overlay it with brass.And thou shalt make his pans to receive his ashes, and his shovels, and his basons, and his fleshhooks, and his firepans: all the vessels thereof thou shalt make[ of] brass.And thou shalt make for it a grate of network[ of] brass; and upon the net shalt thou make four brasen rings in the four corners thereof.And thou shalt put it under the compass of the altar beneath, that the net may be even to the midst of the altar.And thou shalt make staves for the altar, staves[ of] shittim wood, and overlay them with brass.And the staves shall be put into the rings, and the staves shall be upon the two sides of the altar, to bear it.Hollow with boards shalt thou make it: as it was shewed thee in the mount, so shall they make[ it].

And three times in a year did Solomon offer burnt offerings and peace offerings upon the altar which he built unto the LORD, and he burnt incense upon the altar that[ was] before the LORD. So he finished the house.

Moreover the brasen altar, that Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, had made, he put before the tabernacle of the LORD: and Solomon and the congregation sought unto it.
