In the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, in order to fulfill the word of the Lord spoken by Jeremiah, the Lord moved the heart of Cyrus king of Persia to make a proclamation throughout his realm and also to put it in writing:

It was the first year of the rule of Cyrus. He was king of Persia. The Lord inspired him to send a message all through his kingdom. It happened so that what the Lord had spoken through Jeremiah would come true. The message was written down. It said,

Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the Lord by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the Lord stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, so that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom and also put it in writing:

In the first year of King Cyrus of Persia, the Lord fulfilled the prophecy he had given through Jeremiah. He stirred the heart of Cyrus to put this proclamation in writing and to send it throughout his kingdom:

In the first year of King Cyrus of Persia, in order to fulfill the word of the LORD spoken through Jeremiah, the LORD roused the spirit of King Cyrus of Persia to issue a proclamation throughout his entire kingdom and also to put it in writing:

Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia— in order to fulfill the word of the Lord by the mouth of Jeremiah— the Lord stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia so that he sent a proclamation throughout his kingdom, and also put it in writing, saying,

Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the Lord by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the Lord stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, so that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and also put it in writing, saying,

Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of Jehovah by the mouth of Jeremiah might be accomplished, Jehovah stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, so that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and put it also in writing, saying,

In the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, the word of the Lord spoken through Jeremiah was fulfilled. The Lord put it into the mind of King Cyrus of Persia to issue a proclamation throughout his entire kingdom and also to put it in writing:

Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the LORD[ spoken] by the mouth of Jeremiah might be accomplished, the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and[ put it] also in writing, saying,

In the first year of the reign of King Cyrus of Persia, in fulfillment of the promise he delivered through Jeremiah, the LORD moved King Cyrus of Persia to issue a written decree throughout his kingdom.

Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that Yahweh’s word by the mouth of Jeremiah might be accomplished, Yahweh stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, so that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and put it also in writing, saying,

七十年满了以后，我必刑罚巴比伦王和那国民，并迦勒底人之地，因他们的罪孽使那地永远荒凉。这是耶和华说的。

“耶和华如此说：为巴比伦所定的七十年满了以后，我要眷顾你们，向你们成就我的恩言，使你们仍回此地。

波斯王居鲁士元年，耶和华为要应验藉耶利米口所说的话，就激动波斯王居鲁士的心，使他下诏通告全国说：“波斯王居鲁士如此说：‘耶和华天上的神已将天下万国赐给我，又嘱咐我在犹大的耶路撒冷为他建造殿宇。在你们中间凡作他子民的，可以上犹大的耶路撒冷，在耶路撒冷重建耶和华以色列神的殿（只有他是神）。愿神与这人同在。

这就应验耶和华藉耶利米口所说的话：地享受安息；因为地土荒凉便守安息，直满了七十年。

波斯王居鲁士第三年，有事显给称为伯提沙撒的但以理。这事是真的，是指着大争战；但以理通达这事，明白这异象。

于是，犹大和便雅悯的族长、祭司、利未人，就是一切被神激动他心的人，都起来要上耶路撒冷去建造耶和华的殿。

耶和华如此说：“你们论这地方，说是荒废无人民无牲畜之地，但在这荒凉无人民无牲畜的犹大城邑和耶路撒冷的街上，必再听见有欢喜和快乐的声音、新郎和新妇的声音，并听见有人说：‘要称谢万军之耶和华，因耶和华本为善；他的慈爱永远长存！’又有奉感谢祭到耶和华殿中之人的声音；因为我必使这地被掳的人归回，和起初一样。这是耶和华说的。”万军之耶和华如此说：“在这荒废无人民无牲畜之地，并其中所有的城邑，必再有牧人的住处；他们要使羊群躺卧在那里。在山地的城邑、高原的城邑、南地的城邑、便雅悯地、耶路撒冷四围的各处，和犹大的城邑必再有羊群从数点的人手下经过。这是耶和华说的。”耶和华说：“日子将到，我应许以色列家和犹大家的恩言必然成就。

论居鲁士说：‘他是我的牧人，必成就我所喜悦的，必下令建造耶路撒冷，发命立稳圣殿的根基。’”我耶和华所膏的居鲁士；我搀扶他的右手，使列国降伏在他面前。我也要放松列王的腰带，使城门在他面前敞开，不得关闭。我对他如此说：“我必在你前面行，修平崎岖之地。我必打破铜门，砍断铁闩。我要将暗中的宝物和隐密的财宝赐给你，使你知道提名召你的，就是我耶和华以色列的神。因我仆人雅各，我所拣选以色列的缘故，我就提名召你；你虽不认识我，我也加给你名号。我是耶和华，在我以外并没有别神；除了我以外再没有神。你虽不认识我，我必给你束腰。

我必激动玛代人来攻击他们。玛代人不注重银子，也不喜爱金子。他们必用弓击碎少年人，不怜悯妇人所生的，眼也不顾惜孩子。

“因为耶和华如此说：我怎样使这一切大祸临到这百姓，我也要照样使我所应许他们的一切福乐都临到他们。你们说，这地是荒凉、无人民、无牲畜，是交付迦勒底人手之地。日后在这境内，必有人置买田地。在便雅悯地、耶路撒冷四围的各处、犹大的城邑、山地的城邑、高原的城邑，并南地的城邑，人必用银子买田地，在契上画押，将契封缄，请出见证人，因为我必使被掳的人归回。这是耶和华说的。”

神又使以利亚大的儿子利逊兴起，作所罗门的敌人。他先前逃避主人琐巴王哈大底谢。

我吩咐我所挑出来的人；我招呼我的勇士，就是那矜夸高傲之辈，为要成就我怒中所定的。山间有多人的声音，好像是大国人民。有许多国的民聚集哄嚷的声音；这是万军之耶和华点齐军队，预备打仗。他们从远方来，从天边来，就是耶和华并他恼恨的兵器要毁灭这全地。

以后，耶和华激动非利士人和靠近古实的阿拉伯人来攻击约兰。

故此，以色列的神激动亚述王普勒和亚述王提革拉毗列色的心，他们就把流便人、迦得人、玛拿西半支派的人掳到哈腊、哈博、哈拉与歌散河边，直到今日还在那里。

耶和华激动犹大省长撒拉铁的儿子所罗巴伯和约撒答的儿子大祭司约书亚，并剩下之百姓的心，他们就来为万军之耶和华他们神的殿做工。

又通告犹大和耶路撒冷的百姓，要将神仆人摩西在旷野所吩咐以色列人的捐项给耶和华送来。

于是定了命令，传遍以色列，从别是巴直到但，使他们都来，在耶路撒冷向耶和华以色列的神守逾越节；因为照所写的例，守这节的不多了。

求我主我王听仆人的话：若是耶和华激发你攻击我，愿耶和华收纳祭物；若是人激发你，愿他在耶和华面前受咒诅；因为他现今赶逐我，不容我在耶和华的产业上有份，说：‘你去侍奉别神吧！’

因为有多国和大君王必使迦勒底人作奴仆；我也必照他们的行为，按他们手所做的报应他们。”

也要坚守我们所承认的指望，不至摇动，因为那应许我们的是信实的。

耶和华使以东人哈达兴起，作所罗门的敌人；他是以东王的后裔。
