因此我必待這殿，就是這稱為我名下的，你們所倚靠的，我必待這地方，就是我所賜給你們、和你們列祖的，像我從前待示羅一樣。

你的敵人在你的會所中吼叫；他們豎了自己的旗號為標幟。在上邊的出入口拿斧子砍了格子籬。接着就是其中的雕刻物，他們一概用斧子鎚子打壞了。他們放火燒了你的聖所，褻瀆了你的名的居所，拆毁到地。他們心裏說：『我們要把它們一概毁壞』；就在遍地把上帝的會所都燒燬了。

因為他們侵吞了雅各，使雅各的莊舍荒涼。

你的聖城已成了曠野，錫安已變為野地，耶路撒冷已成為荒涼之處了。我們那聖而榮美的殿、我們列祖頌讚你的所在、都給火燒了；我們所喜愛的盡都荒廢了。

耶穌就說：『關於你們所觀看的這一切、日子必到，那時在這裏必沒有一塊石頭能留在一塊石頭上、而不被拆毁的。』

這殿必成為荒堆；凡從這裏經過的人都必驚訝嗤笑、說：「永恆主為甚麼辦這地和這殿到這樣呢？」

你們不要倚靠虛假的話，說：「這些房屋是永恆主的殿堂，是永恆主的殿堂，是永恆主的殿堂。」

怎麼啦！金子竟然失光啊！黃金竟然變質啊！聖石頭竟倒在各街頭啊！
