The musicians, the descendants of Asaph, were in the places prescribed by David, Asaph, Heman and Jeduthun the king’s seer. The gatekeepers at each gate did not need to leave their posts, because their fellow Levites made the preparations for them.

Those who played music were from the family line of Asaph. They were in the places that had been set up by David, Asaph, Heman and Jeduthun. Jeduthun had been the king’s prophet. The guards at each gate didn’t have to leave their places. That’s because their brother Levites got things ready for them.

The singers, the sons of Asaph, were in their place according to the command of David, and Asaph, and Heman, and Jeduthun the king’s seer; and the gatekeepers were at each gate. They did not need to depart from their service, for their brothers the Levites prepared for them.

守门的是沙龙、亚谷、达们、亚希幔，和他们的弟兄；沙龙为长。从前这些人看守朝东的王门，如今是利未营中守门的。可拉的曾孙、以比雅撒的孙子、可利的儿子沙龙，和他的族弟兄可拉人都管理使用之工，并守会幕的门。他们的祖宗曾管理耶和华的营盘，又把守营门。

与他们一同被派的有希幔、耶杜顿，和其余被选名字录在册上的，称谢耶和华，因他的慈爱永远长存。希幔、耶杜顿同着他们吹号、敲钹，大发响声，并用别的乐器随着歌颂神。耶杜顿的子孙作守门的。

我要向神发声呼求；我向神发声，他必留心听我。

我的民哪，你们要留心听我的训诲，侧耳听我口中的话。

有四千人作守门的，又有四千人用大卫所做的乐器颂赞耶和华。

王又派利未人在耶和华殿中敲钹，鼓瑟，弹琴，乃照大卫和他先见迦得，并先知拿单所吩咐的，就是耶和华藉先知所吩咐的。利未人拿大卫的乐器，祭司拿号，一同站立。
