这二祭司对待百姓的规矩是这样：凡有人献祭，正煮肉的时候，祭司的仆人就手拿三齿的叉子来，将叉子往盆里，或锅里，或釜里，或壶里一插，插上来的肉，祭司都拿了去。他们对所有上到示罗的以色列人都这样做。甚至在未烧脂肪之前，祭司的仆人就来对献祭的人说：“把肉给祭司，让他烤吧。他不要拿你煮过的肉，要生的。”

你要在耶和华—你神所选择的地方把肉烤来吃，次日早晨就回到你的帐棚去。

煮这祭物的瓦器要打碎；若祭物是在铜器里煮，要把这铜器擦净，用水冲洗。

所有过路的人哪，愿这事不要发生在你们身上。你们要留意观看，有像这样临到我的痛苦没有？耶和华在他发烈怒的日子使我受苦。他从高处降火进入我的骨头，克制了我；他张开网，绊我的脚，使我退后，又令我终日凄凉发昏。

殷勤，不可懒惰。要灵里火热；常常服侍主。

我如水被倒出，我的骨头都脱了节，我的心如蜡，在我里面熔化。

他剃了离俗的头以后，祭司要取那煮好的公绵羊的一条前腿，连同篮子里的一块无酵饼和一块无酵薄饼，放在他手掌上。
