這二祭司待百姓是這樣的規矩：凡有人獻祭，正煮肉的時候，祭司的僕人就來，手拿三齒的叉子，將叉子往罐裏，或鼎裏，或釜裏，或鍋裏一插，插上來的肉，祭司都取了去。凡上到示羅的以色列人，他們都是這樣看待。又在未燒脂油以前，祭司的僕人就來對獻祭的人說：「將肉給祭司，叫他烤吧。他不要煮過的，要生的。」

當在耶和華－你神所選擇的地方把肉烤了吃，次日早晨就回到你的帳棚去。

惟有煮祭物的瓦器要打碎；若是煮在銅器裏，這銅器要擦磨，在水中涮淨。

你們一切過路的人哪，這事你們不介意嗎？你們要觀看：有像這臨到我的痛苦沒有－就是耶和華在他發烈怒的日子使我所受的苦？他從高天使火進入我的骨頭，剋制了我；他鋪下網羅，絆我的腳，使我轉回；他使我終日淒涼發昏。

殷勤，不可懶惰；要心裏火熱，常常服事主。

我如水被倒出來；我的骨頭都脫了節；我心在我裏面如蠟鎔化。

他剃了以後，祭司就要取那已煮的公羊一條前腿，又從筐子裏取一個無酵餅和一個無酵薄餅，都放在他手上。
