也不理會當時祭司待人民的規矩。凡是有人獻祭，在煮肉的時候，祭司的僕人就來，手裡拿著三齒的叉，把叉子插入煎盤裡，或鼎裡，或釜裡，或鍋裡，叉子插上來的，祭司都拿去。所有到示羅來的以色列人，祭司都是這樣待他們。還有，在焚燒脂油以前，祭司的僕人就來，對獻祭的人說：“把祭肉交給祭司燒烤吧，因為他不會向你要煮過的肉，單要生的。”

你要在耶和華你的神選擇的地方，把祭肉煮了吃；到了早晨，你才可以回到家裡去。

煮祭物的瓦器卻要打碎；如果煮祭物的是銅器，只需用水沖洗。

所有過路的人啊！你們毫不在意嗎？你們要細察要觀看，有沒有痛苦像我所受的痛苦，就是耶和華在他發烈怒的日子使我所受的痛苦。他從高天降火，使火進入我的骨頭裡（按照《馬索拉文本》，“他從高天降火，使火進入我的骨頭裡”作“他從高天降火進入我的骨頭裡，他管理火”；現參照《七十士譯本》翻譯）。他設置網羅絆我的腳，使我退去。他使我孤單淒涼，終日愁煩。

殷勤不可懶惰，心靈要火熱，常常服事主；

我好像水被傾倒出去，我全身的骨頭都散脫了，我的心在我裡面像蠟融化。

拿細耳人剃去了自己離俗的頭髮以後，祭司就要取那煮過的公綿羊的一條前腿，又要從籃子裡取一個無酵餅和一個無酵薄餅，都放在拿細耳人的手上。
