對民眾不守自己做祭司的職分。每當民眾來獻祭，還在煮祭肉的時候，他們的僕人便拿著三齒叉來，從罐裡、鼎裡、釜裡或鍋裡插肉，把插上來的祭肉據為己有。他們這樣對待所有到示羅來的以色列人。甚至在焚燒脂肪之前，祭司的僕人就來對獻祭的人說：「把肉給祭司烤吧！他不要煮過的，只要生的。」

你們要在那裡煮祭肉吃，第二天早晨可以返回自己的帳篷。

用來煮祭肉的瓦鍋，用後都要打碎。如果用的是銅鍋，要擦乾淨並用水沖洗。

「路人啊，你們都無動於衷嗎？你們看看，耶和華向我發烈怒，降禍於我，還有誰比我更痛苦呢？「祂從高天降下火來，焚燒我的骨頭；祂在我腳前設下網羅，使我返回；祂使我淒涼孤寂，終日痛苦。

要殷勤，不可懶惰，要常常火熱地事奉主。

我的力量如水消逝，我的骨頭都脫了節，我的心如蠟熔化。

拿細耳人剃頭以後，祭司要取出一條煮好的公綿羊前腿，再從籃中拿出一塊無酵餅和一塊無酵薄餅，放在拿細耳人手中。
