趨承者遍行以法蓮馬拿西諸邑、延及西布倫為人訕笑。

以法蓮、馬拿西、以薩迦、西布倫、所至民眾、未潔其體、守逾越節、不循常例、希西家禱曰、如人崇列祖之上帝耶和華、惟一其心、雖不潔己、循聖所之例、耶和華無不善、願蒙赦宥。

諸伯樂輸、以牲牷頒祭司利未人、及國之億兆治理殿者、希勒家、撒加利亞、耶歇、頒祭司以逾越節、羊二千六百、牛三百。

利未人見金已多、舁匱入王所、王之繕寫、與祭司長之吏、傾取其金、以匱復其所、日恆如此、積金無算。王與耶何耶大、以金予統轄耶和華殿之工師、俾與修殿之木工、土工、鐵工、銅工、諸工興作、上帝之殿修葺完固、厥功告成。以餘金反王、及耶何耶大為耶和華殿作器皿、以供役事、爰及燔祭、即匙與金銀諸器耶何耶大存日、在耶和華殿、恆獻燔祭。

取耶和華殿所貯之金、時祭司希勒家忽得摩西所傳耶和華律例之書、告繕寫沙番曰、我在耶和華殿、得律例之書、乃以書授沙番、

王命祭司長希勒家、及祭司之次者、暨閽人、取所奉巴力亞大綠及天象之器皿、出耶和華殿、燬於耶路撒冷外、汲淪田間、攜其灰至伯特利。

要之、兄弟凡真實善良、公義廉潔、可愛可稱、有德有譽者、皆當念茲、

祀事既畢、以色列眾往猶大、便雅憫、以法蓮、馬拿西諸邑、毀偶像、伐林木、廢崇坵、拆祭壇、滅之務盡、然後歸。

爾當見祭司長希勒家、使核閽人所取於民間、輸耶和華殿之金。予統轄耶和華殿之工、以與工作、使修葺殿宇。又與木工、土工、版築者、俾購材木雕石、為修理之用。督工者秉性誠實、故予以金、毋庸核數。

命希勒家、沙番子亞希甘、米迦子押頓、繕寫沙番、近臣亞帥亞、

又曰、祭司希勒家以書授我。遂誦書於王前。

希勒家與王使臣、咸至耶路撒冷之米士尼、見掌禮服者、轄哈孫、特法子、沙龍妻、先知婦戶勒大、與之語。
