In the towns of Manasseh, Ephraim and Simeon, as far as Naphtali, and in the ruins around them,

Josiah went to the towns of Manasseh, Ephraim and Simeon. He went all the way to Naphtali. He also went to the destroyed places around all those towns.

And in the cities of Manasseh, Ephraim, and Simeon, and as far as Naphtali, in their ruins all around,

He did the same thing in the towns of Manasseh, Ephraim, and Simeon, even as far as Naphtali, and in the regions all around them.

He did the same in the cities of Manasseh, Ephraim, and Simeon, and as far as Naphtali and on their surrounding mountain shrines.

In the cities of Manasseh, Ephraim, Simeon, and as far as Naphtali, in their surrounding spaces,

And so he did in the cities of Manasseh, Ephraim, and Simeon, as far as Naphtali and all around, with axes.

以色列众人要磨锄、犁、斧、铲，就各自下到非利士人那里去磨。磨锄或犁的价钱是三分之二舍客勒，磨斧或修整刺棒的价钱是三分之一舍客勒。

信差从这城跑到那城，传遍了以法莲和玛拿西之地，直到西布伦；那里的人却戏笑他们，讥诮他们。然而亚设、玛拿西、西布伦中也有人谦卑自己，来到耶路撒冷。

此外，在伯特利丘坛的坛，就是尼八的儿子耶罗波安所筑、使以色列人陷入罪里的，他也把这坛和丘坛都拆毁了，又焚烧丘坛，打碎成灰，并焚烧了亚舍拉。约西亚转头，看见山上的坟墓，就派人取出坟墓里的骸骨，烧在坛上，玷污了坛，正如从前耶罗波安在节期中站在坛旁时，耶和华藉神人所宣告的话。约西亚转头看见了宣告这些话的神人的坟墓。他说：“我看见的这碑是什么呢？”那城里的人对他说：“这是神人的坟墓，他从犹大来，宣告了王向伯特利的坛所做的这些事。”约西亚说：“让他安息吧！不要挪移他的骸骨。”他们就保存了他的骸骨和从撒玛利亚来的那先知的骸骨。从前以色列诸王在撒玛利亚的城镇所建一切惹动怒气的丘坛的庙，约西亚也都废去了，正如他在伯特利所做的。他又把在那里所有丘坛的祭司都杀在坛上，并在坛上烧人的骨头。于是他回耶路撒冷去了。

作假见证陷害邻舍的，就是大锤，是利刀，是快箭。

希西家派人去见以色列和犹大众人，又写信给以法莲和玛拿西人，要他们到耶路撒冷耶和华的殿，向耶和华—以色列的神守逾越节，

所有锄头刨过的山地，你因惧怕荆棘和蒺藜，不敢到那里去；只能作放牛之处，羊群践踏之地。”
