『人偏向交鬼的和行巫術的、變節去隨從他們，我要向那人板着臉，把他從他的族人中剪除掉。

並將他的兒子用火燒獻為祭，又算命，又觀兆頭，又行交鬼的事和巫術；多行永恆主所看為壞的事、而惹他發怒。

不可將你的後裔燒獻為祭給摩洛；也不可褻瀆你的上帝的名；我是永恆主。

有人對你們說：『要求問那些交鬼的和行巫術的，就是那啁啾叫嗡嗡鳴的人。一族之民難道不能求問自己的神、而為活人去求問死人麼？』

『你們不可偏向那些交鬼的和行巫術的；不可求問他們、以致因他們而蒙不潔；我永恆主是你們的上帝。

他們築了陀斐特的邱壇、就是那在欣嫩子平谷中的，去用火焚燒自己的兒女：這並不是我所吩咐的，也不是我心裏所起意過的。因此你看吧，日子必到，永恆主發神諭說，這地方必不再稱為陀斐特或欣嫩子平谷，乃要稱為殺戮之平谷；因為人必在陀斐特埋葬死人，因為沒有別的地方。

這樣、掃羅死了、是為了他所犯對永恆主不忠實的罪，為了永恆主的話的緣故、就是他所沒有遵守的；也是因為他去尋問去請示交鬼的，

『無論男人女人、不拘是交鬼的、或行巫術的、如果你們中間有這樣人的話，總必須被處死；人要扔石頭把他們砍死；流他們血的罪必歸到他們自己身上。』

拜偶像、行邪術、敵恨、紛爭、妒忌、暴怒、營私爭勝、分立、派別、

你向永恆主你的上帝可不要這樣行，因為他們向他們的神行了永恆主所恨惡一切可厭惡的事，甚至將他們的兒女燒在火中、去獻給他們的神。

哪知喪子寡居這兩件事、一眨眼之際、一日之間就臨到你了！正在你多行邪術、極力施符咒時，這兩件事就完完全全臨到你身上了！你倚靠你自己的壞行為，說：『沒有人看見我』；嘿，你的聰明你的知識把你拉走了！你心裏說：『我，我以外再沒有別的』。但災難終久必臨到你，你不知怎樣用魔法去驅除它；禍患終久必落在你身上，你不能禳除它；毁滅終久必臨到你，就在突然之間，不知不覺之時。你儘管堅決進行你的符咒吧！進行你幼年所勞碌而行的，進行你許多邪術吧！或者能有用處！或者可以使人戰抖呀！

因為占卜的罪乃和悖逆相同；拜家神像的罪愆就等於僭妄。你既棄絕了永恆主吩咐的話，永恆主也棄絕你為王。』

『你們不可喫帶血的東西，不可觀兆頭，不可算命。

約西亞又使欣嫩子谷的陀斐特成了凡俗，不許人將兒女用火燒獻給摩洛。

不但如此，凡在猶大地和耶路撒冷所見那些交鬼的和行巫術的、跟家神像、和偶像、以及一切可憎之像、約西亞都盡行肅清，實行了祭司希勒家在永恆主殿裏所發現的《律法書》上所寫的話。

因為她們行了姦淫，手中有殺人的血；她們跟她們的偶像行了姦淫，使她們給我所生的兒女經過火燒獻給偶像做食物。

埃及人心裏都很狼狽徬徨；我必混亂他們的計謀；他們必求問神明和念念有詞的、交鬼的和行巫術的。

他們將自己的兒女用火燒獻為祭，又占卜，又觀兆頭，又出賣自己、去行永恆主所看為壞的事，而惹他發怒。

在你中間不可有人將兒子或女兒用火燒獻為祭，也不可有占卜的、算命的、觀兆頭的、行邪術的、用迷術的、問交鬼的、行巫術的、過陰的。因為凡行這些事的、都是永恆主所憎惡的；也正是因了這些可厭惡之事的緣故，永恆主你的上帝才把他們從你面前趕出。你對於永恆主你的上帝要純全無疵。你正要趕出的那些外國人都聽信算命的、占卜的；至於你呢，永恆主你的上帝是不曾許給你這樣行的。

『你要對以色列人說：凡以色列人、和在以色列中寄居的外僑、將自己的後裔獻給摩洛的、總必須被處死；這地的人要扔石頭把他砍死。

她們宰殺了兒女、獻給她們的偶像，就在這同一日、他們又進了我的聖所，將聖所褻瀆了。你看，他們這樣行，又是在我殿中行的。
