「人偏向交鬼的和行巫術的，隨他們行邪淫，我要向那人變臉，把他從民中剪除。

並使他的兒子經火，又觀兆，用法術，立交鬼的和行巫術的，多行耶和華眼中看為惡的事，惹動他的怒氣；

不可使你的兒女經火歸與摩洛，也不可褻瀆你神的名。我是耶和華。

有人對你們說：「當求問那些交鬼的和行巫術的，就是聲音綿蠻，言語微細的。」你們便回答說：「百姓不當求問自己的神嗎？豈可為活人求問死人呢？」

「不可偏向那些交鬼的和行巫術的；不可求問他們，以致被他們玷污了。我是耶和華－你們的神。

他們在欣嫩子谷建築陀斐特的邱壇，好在火中焚燒自己的兒女。這並不是我所吩咐的，也不是我心所起的意。」耶和華說：「因此，日子將到，這地方不再稱為陀斐特和欣嫩子谷，反倒稱為殺戮谷。因為要在陀斐特葬埋屍首，甚至無處可葬；

這樣，掃羅死了。因為他干犯耶和華，沒有遵守耶和華的命；又因他求問交鬼的婦人，

「無論男女，是交鬼的或行巫術的，總要治死他們。人必用石頭把他們打死，罪要歸到他們身上。」

拜偶像、邪術、仇恨、爭競、忌恨、惱怒、結黨、紛爭、異端、

你不可向耶和華－你的神這樣行，因為他們向他們的神行了耶和華所憎嫌所恨惡的一切事，甚至將自己的兒女用火焚燒，獻與他們的神。

哪知，喪子、寡居這兩件事在一日轉眼之間必臨到你；正在你多行邪術、廣施符咒的時候，這兩件事必全然臨到你身上。你素來倚仗自己的惡行，說：無人看見我。你的智慧聰明使你偏邪，並且你心裏說：惟有我，除我以外再沒有別的。因此，禍患要臨到你身；你不知何時發現，災害落在你身上，你也不能除掉；所不知道的毀滅也必忽然臨到你身。站起來吧！用你從幼年勞神施行的符咒和你許多的邪術；或者可得益處，或者可得強勝。

悖逆的罪與行邪術的罪相等；頑梗的罪與拜虛神和偶像的罪相同。你既厭棄耶和華的命令，耶和華也厭棄你作王。

「你們不可吃帶血的物；不可用法術，也不可觀兆。

又污穢欣嫩子谷的陀斐特，不許人在那裏使兒女經火獻給摩洛；

凡猶大國和耶路撒冷所有交鬼的、行巫術的，與家中的神像和偶像，並一切可憎之物，約西亞盡都除掉，成就了祭司希勒家在耶和華殿裏所得律法書上所寫的話。

她們行淫，手中有殺人的血，又與偶像行淫，並使她們為我所生的兒女經火燒給偶像。

埃及人的心神必在裏面耗盡；我必敗壞他們的謀略。他們必求問偶像和念咒的、交鬼的、行巫術的。

又使他們的兒女經火，用占卜，行法術賣了自己，行耶和華眼中看為惡的事，惹動他的怒氣。

你們中間不可有人使兒女經火，也不可有占卜的、觀兆的、用法術的、行邪術的、用迷術的、交鬼的、行巫術的、過陰的。凡行這些事的都為耶和華所憎惡；因那些國民行這可憎惡的事，所以耶和華－你的神將他們從你面前趕出。你要在耶和華－你的神面前作完全人。」「因你所要趕出的那些國民都聽信觀兆的和占卜的，至於你，耶和華－你的神從來不許你這樣行。

「你還要曉諭以色列人說：凡以色列人，或是在以色列中寄居的外人，把自己的兒女獻給摩洛的，總要治死他；本地人要用石頭把他打死。

她們殺了兒女獻與偶像，當天又入我的聖所，將聖所褻瀆了。她們在我殿中所行的乃是如此。
