如果有人求問靈媒或巫師，與他們苟合，我必嚴懲，將他從民中剷除。

他燒死自己的兒子，獻作祭物；他行邪術，占卜，求問靈媒和巫師，做了許多耶和華視為惡的事，惹耶和華發怒。

不可把兒女當作祭物獻給假神摩洛，不可褻瀆你上帝的名。我是耶和華。

有人讓你們去求問那些念念有詞的巫師和術士，你們不要去。你們要去求問你們的上帝，活人的事怎能求問死人呢？

不可求問靈媒或巫師，玷污自己。我是你們的上帝耶和華。

他們在欣嫩子谷的陀斐特建造邱壇，焚燒自己的兒女。我從未吩咐他們這樣做，連想都沒想過。這不是我的吩咐，我也從未這樣想過。因此，看啊，時候將到，那地方必不再叫陀斐特或欣嫩子谷，而要叫殺戮谷。那裡要埋葬死人，直到無處可埋。這是耶和華說的。

掃羅死了，因為他對耶和華不忠，不聽從祂的教誨，甚至去求問靈媒，

如果有人做靈媒或巫師，不論男女，都必須被處死。你們要用石頭打死他們，使他們承擔自己的罪。」

拜偶像、行邪術、仇恨、爭吵、忌恨、惱怒、紛爭、衝突、分裂、

你們不可按照他們的方式敬拜你們的上帝耶和華。他們祭拜自己神明的種種行為令耶和華憎惡，他們甚至焚燒自己的兒女獻給他們的神明。

誰知寡居、喪子二事卻忽然在同一天臨到你身上。即使你懂得許多邪術和符咒，也於事無補。「你肆無忌憚地行惡，自以為沒有人看見。你被自己的聰明智慧欺騙，自以為天下無雙。你必大禍臨頭，不知如何祛災避禍。災禍必落在你身上，無可挽回。你意想不到的禍患必突然來到。「你自幼就勤練符咒和五花八門的邪術，繼續施展吧！也許會有用處，也許會令人害怕。

叛逆不亞於行巫術的罪，頑固不化無異於拜偶像。你拒絕耶和華的命令，祂也拒絕你做王。」

「不可吃帶血的肉，不可占卜或行巫術。

他污瀆欣嫩子谷中的陀斐特，使人們不能焚燒自己的兒女獻給摩洛。

為了遵守祭司希勒迦在耶和華殿裡找到的律法書上的話，約西亞徹底清除了耶路撒冷和猶大境內的靈媒、巫師、家庭神像及其他一切可憎之物。

她們淫蕩，手上沾滿血腥，與偶像淫亂，把為我所生的兒女燒死獻給偶像。

埃及人必灰心喪志，我必破壞他們的計謀。他們必求問偶像、巫師、靈媒和術士。

你們當中不可有人焚燒自己的子女作祭物，不可有人占卜、算命、作法、行邪術、念咒、做靈媒、行巫術或求問亡靈。凡做這些事的人都是耶和華所憎惡的。正是因為當地的民族做這些可憎之事，你們的上帝耶和華才要當著你們的面把他們趕走。你們要在你們的上帝耶和華面前純全無過。「你們將要趕走的那些民族聽信術士和巫師，但你們的上帝耶和華不准你們仿效他們。

「你把以下條例告訴以色列人。「在你們或寄居在你們中間的外族人中，如果有人把子女獻給假神摩洛，必須處死他，當地的人要用石頭打死他。

她們焚燒自己的兒女獻祭給偶像，並在當天進入我的聖所，褻瀆聖所。這就是她們在我聖所裡的惡行。
