爾築壇奉爾上帝耶和華、毋樹木偶於側、

廢諸崇坵、毀其像、斫其偶、昔摩西所作之銅蛇、迄今以色列人焚香以奉事。希西家曰、此無非為尼忽旦耳、遂碎之。

凡在樓巔、崇拜天象、更奉事耶和華、指耶和華而誓、亦指抹干而誓、

猶大王宮殿、耶路撒冷廬舍、必視為污衊、無異陀法、蓋在樓巔、人焚香以奉天象、酒以灌奠、崇敬他上帝、○

昔猶大列王、立祭司、在猶大諸邑、及耶路撒冷四周、崇坵之上、焚香奉巴力、日月、十二躔次、及諸天象、至是約西亞廢其職、取耶和華殿所有之亞大綠像、出耶路撒冷外、燬於汲淪溪濱、擣之成粉、揚於民塚。

爾仰觀天象、有日月星辰焉、恐爾迷眩、奉事崇拜之、天下億兆既行此、爾之上帝耶和華亦姑聽之、

故行惡於耶和華前、事諸巴力。導其祖出埃及之上帝耶和華、反背之、四周民之上帝、則尊崇伏拜之、以是干耶和華震怒。蓋背耶和華事巴力亞大綠、

何希西家廢彼崇坵、去彼祭壇、命猶大族、耶路撒冷民、惟在一壇崇拜焚香。

在高岡之巔、茂林之下、建諸崇邱、作諸偶像。

茂林之下、高岡之上、建置祭壇、樹立偶像、彼之子女憶之。

昔彼悅事、俯伏祈禱、天上日月、今其骨為三光所暴、人不拾而瘞之。視若糞壤。

於是、上帝弗恤、聽其奉事天上列宿、先知書有云、以色列族乎、爾於曠野四十年、非以犧牲祭物獻我歟、

其父希西家廢諸崇坵、馬拿西復建之、築祭壇、宗巴力、作偶像、從以色列王亞哈所為、崇拜天象、而服事焉。

子孫智愚、難以逆料、惟我竭其心思、勞苦畢生、彼得而主之、豈不盡屬於虛哉。

昔猶大列王、獻馬以奉日、畜於耶和華殿側、宦豎拿單米勒室旁之廊、約西亞去之、奉日之車、亦為其所燬。

從以色列列王所為、鑄偶像、奉事巴力。昔異邦族類、行可惡之事、耶和華為以色列逐之、今亞哈士亦效其尤、在便欣嫩谷焚獻子女、獻祭焚香於崇坵、在高岡之巔、茂林之下。
