直到今日，他們還沒有痛悔，沒有畏懼，也沒有遵行我在你們和你們列祖面前所立的律法和條例。’

他行耶和華他的神看為惡的事；耶利米先知奉耶和華的命令警戒他，他仍不在耶利米面前謙卑下來。

這賞賜和那一人犯罪的後果也是不同的；因為審判是由一人而來，以致定罪，恩賞卻由許多過犯而來，以致稱義。

我受苦是對我有益的，為要使我學習你的律例。

我們若承認自己的罪，神是信實的、公義的，必定赦免我們的罪，潔淨我們脫離一切不義。

主說：“起來，到那叫直街的路上去，要在猶大家裡找一個大數人，名叫掃羅。你看，他正在禱告，

惡人的祭物是耶和華厭惡的；正直人的禱告卻是他所喜悅的。

可是在亞設、瑪拿西和西布倫中，也有人願意謙卑，來到耶路撒冷。

我受苦以先，犯了錯誤；現在我謹守你的話。

伯沙撒啊！你是他的子孫，你雖然知道這一切，你的心仍不謙卑，
