Now after this he built a wall without the city of David, on the west side of Gihon, in the valley, even to the entering in at the fish gate, and compassed about Ophel, and raised it up a very great height, and put captains of war in all the fenced cities of Judah.

Afterward he rebuilt the outer wall of the City of David, west of the Gihon spring in the valley, as far as the entrance of the Fish Gate and encircling the hill of Ophel; he also made it much higher. He stationed military commanders in all the fortified cities in Judah.

After that, Manasseh rebuilt the outer wall of the City of David. It was west of the Gihon spring in the valley. It reached all the way to the entrance of the Fish Gate. It went around the entire hill of Ophel. Manasseh also made the wall much higher. He stationed military commanders in all the cities in Judah that had high walls around them.

Afterward he built an outer wall for the city of David west of Gihon, in the valley, and for the entrance into the Fish Gate, and carried it around Ophel, and raised it to a very great height. He also put commanders of the army in all the fortified cities in Judah.

After this Manasseh rebuilt the outer wall of the City of David, from west of the Gihon Spring in the Kidron Valley to the Fish Gate, and continuing around the hill of Ophel. He built the wall very high. And he stationed his military officers in all of the fortified towns of Judah.

After this, he built the outer wall of the city of David from west of Gihon in the valley to the entrance of the Fish Gate; he brought it around Ophel, and he heightened it considerably. He also placed military commanders in all the fortified cities of Judah.

Now after this, he built an outer wall to David’s city, on the west side of Gihon, in the valley, even to the entrance at the fish gate. He encircled Ophel with it, and raised it up to a very great height; and he put valiant captains in all the fortified cities of Judah.

He built the high gate of the house of the LORD, and on the wall of Ophel he built much.

The king also said unto them, Take with you the servants of your lord, and cause Solomon my son to ride upon mine own mule, and bring him down to Gihon:

But the fish gate did the sons of Hassenaah build, who[ also] laid the beams thereof, and set up the doors thereof, the locks thereof, and the bars thereof.

And from above the gate of Ephraim, and above the old gate, and above the fish gate, and the tower of Hananeel, and the tower of Meah, even unto the sheep gate: and they stood still in the prison gate.

And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD,[ that there shall be] the noise of a cry from the fish gate, and an howling from the second, and a great crashing from the hills.

And he fortified the strong holds, and put captains in them, and store of victual, and of oil and wine.And in every several city[ he put] shields and spears, and made them exceeding strong, having Judah and Benjamin on his side.

And Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet have anointed him king in Gihon: and they are come up from thence rejoicing, so that the city rang again. This[ is] the noise that ye have heard.

Moreover the Nethinims dwelt in Ophel, unto[ the place] over against the water gate toward the east, and the tower that lieth out.After them the Tekoites repaired another piece, over against the great tower that lieth out, even unto the wall of Ophel.

Also he strengthened himself, and built up all the wall that was broken, and raised[ it] up to the towers, and another wall without, and repaired Millo[ in] the city of David, and made darts and shields in abundance.

This same Hezekiah also stopped the upper watercourse of Gihon, and brought it straight down to the west side of the city of David. And Hezekiah prospered in all his works.

These waited on the king, beside[ those] whom the king put in the fenced cities throughout all Judah.
