“ Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged because of the king of Assyria and the vast army with him, for there is a greater power with us than with him.

“ Be strong and brave! Don’t be afraid and don’t panic because of the king of Assyria and this huge army that is with him! We have with us one who is stronger than those who are with him.

“ Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid or dismayed because of the king of Assyria, nor for all the multitude who is with him; for there is a greater one with us than with him.

Elisha said,“ Don’t be afraid, for those who are with us outnumber those who are with them.”

Finally, be strengthened by the Lord and by his vast strength.

What, then, are we to say about these things? If God is for us, who is against us?

You are from God, little children, and you have conquered them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.

and he said,“ Listen carefully, all Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem, and King Jehoshaphat. This is what the LORD says:‘ Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast number, for the battle is not yours, but God’s.

The LORD of Armies says this:“ Let your hands be strong, you who now hear these words that the prophets spoke when the foundations were laid for the rebuilding of the temple, the house of the LORD of Armies.

The LORD of Armies says this:“ In those days, ten men from nations of every language will grab the robe of a Jewish man tightly, urging: Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.”

Then you will succeed if you carefully follow the statutes and ordinances the LORD commanded Moses for Israel. Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid or discouraged.

Be strong and courageous; don’t be terrified or afraid of them. For the LORD your God is the one who will go with you; he will not leave you or abandon you.”Moses then summoned Joshua and said to him in the sight of all Israel,“ Be strong and courageous, for you will go with this people into the land the LORD swore to give to their ancestors. You will enable them to take possession of it.

The LORD commissioned Joshua son of Nun,“ Be strong and courageous, for you will bring the Israelites into the land I swore to them, and I will be with you.”

He said,“ Don’t be afraid, you who are treasured by God. Peace to you; be very strong!” As he spoke to me, I was strengthened and said,“ Let my lord speak, for you have strengthened me.”

Then David said to his son Solomon,“ Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Don’t be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD God, my God, is with you. He won’t leave you or abandon you until all the work for the service of the LORD’s house is finished.

“ Be strong and courageous, for you will distribute the land I swore to their ancestors to give them as an inheritance.Above all, be strong and very courageous to observe carefully the whole instruction my servant Moses commanded you. For then you will prosper and succeed in whatever you do.Haven’t I commanded you: be strong and courageous? Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”

Say to the cowardly:“ Be strong; do not fear! Here is your God; vengeance is coming. God’s retribution is coming; he will save you.”

Don’t let Hezekiah persuade you to rely on the LORD by saying,“ Certainly the LORD will rescue us! This city will not be handed over to the king of Assyria.”’

Realize now that the LORD has chosen you to build a house for the sanctuary. Be strong, and do it.”

You, therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
