And he resolutely set to work and rebuilt all of the wall that had been broken down and erected towers on it, and built another outside wall and strengthened the Millo in the city of David, and made weapons and shields in great numbers.

And he strengthened himself, built up all the wall that was broken, raised it up to the towers, and built another wall outside; also he repaired the Millo in the City of David, and made weapons and shields in abundance.

Hezekiah energetically rebuilt every broken wall. He erected towers and an outer wall, and fortified the terrace of the City of David. He made many weapons and shields.

He took courage, built up all the wall that was broken down, and raised it up to the towers, with the other wall outside, and strengthened Millo in David’s city, and made weapons and shields in abundance.

法老的女儿从大卫城搬到所罗门为她建造的宫里以后，所罗门才重建米罗。

你们看见大卫的缺口很多，就储存下池的水。你们又数点耶路撒冷的房屋，把房屋拆掉，用来坚固城墙。

后来大卫住在保障里，称保障为“大卫的城”。大卫又从米罗向里面周围筑墙。

城终于被攻破了，所有的战士就在夜间从靠近王的花园的两墙中间的那门，逃跑出城。那时迦勒底人在四围攻城；他们就往亚拉巴的方向逃走。

示剑的众人和伯特米罗人都聚集起来，到示剑橡树旁的望楼那里，立亚比米勒为王。

犹大王西底家和所有的军兵看见了他们，就逃跑，在夜间逃出城外，经过王的花园，穿过两道城墙中间的门，直往亚拉巴的路上走去。

亚撒的儿子约沙法接续他作王；约沙法发愤图强，对抗以色列人。他把军队安置在犹大的一切设防城里，又在犹大地和他父亲亚撒占领的以法莲各城里驻扎防军。

他举手攻击王的情形是这样的：所罗门重建米罗，修补他父亲大卫城的破口；

罗波安的王位稳定，他也强盛起来，就离弃了耶和华的律法，全体以色列人也都跟随他。

他又在犹大各城中，除掉邱坛和香坛。那时全国在他的统治下享受太平。他又在犹大建造了几座设防城，因为国中太平，多年没有战争，耶和华使他享受安宁。他对犹大人说：“我们要建造这些城，在四周筑墙，建造城楼，安设城门，制作门闩。这地还属于我们，是因为我们寻求耶和华我们的神；我们既然寻求他，他就使我们四境平安。”于是他们兴工建造，事事顺利。

约阿施的臣仆起来背叛，他们在米罗宫内，他下到悉拉的时候，击杀了他。

乌西雅给全队军兵配备了盾牌、矛枪、头盔、铠甲、弓箭和用机弦甩的石头。他又在耶路撒冷制造巧匠发明的器械，安放在城楼和城角上，用来发射利箭和大石。乌西雅的名声传到远方，因为他得了非常的帮助，使他十分强盛。

到了第七年，耶何耶大奋勇图强，召来耶罗罕的儿子亚撒利雅、约哈难的儿子以实玛利、俄备得的儿子亚撒利雅、亚大雅的儿子玛西雅和细基利的儿子以利沙法等几位百夫长，和他们立约。

亚扪人给乌西雅进贡，他的名声传到埃及的边境，因为他极其强盛。
