And he resolutely set to work and rebuilt all of the wall that had been broken down and erected towers on it, and built another outside wall and strengthened the Millo in the city of David, and made weapons and shields in great numbers.

Hezekiah energetically rebuilt every broken wall. He erected towers and an outer wall, and fortified the terrace of the City of David. He made many weapons and shields.

He took courage, built up all the wall that was broken down, and raised it up to the towers, with the other wall outside, and strengthened Millo in David’s city, and made weapons and shields in abundance.

你们看见大卫城破口累累，你们储存下池的水，数点耶路撒冷城的房屋，把房屋拆掉修补城墙。

大卫住在锡安的堡垒里，并称之为大卫城，他又从米罗兴建环城围墙。

城被攻破，城里的所有士兵便在夜间穿过御花园，从两城墙中间的门逃往亚拉巴。当时迦勒底人仍四面包围着城。

示剑和米罗的人都聚集到示剑石柱旁的橡树下，拥立亚比米勒为王。

犹大王西底迦和所有军兵见势不妙，便在夜间穿过御花园，从两城墙中间的门逃往亚拉巴。

以下是他反叛所罗门的缘由：当年所罗门建造米罗堡，修补大卫城的城墙时，

罗波安王位稳定、国势强盛后，就离弃耶和华的律法，以色列人也都随从他。

他除掉犹大各城邑的丘坛和香坛，那时国中太平。他还在犹大修筑坚城，那些年国中太平，没有战事，因为耶和华赐他平安。他对犹大人说：“我们要修筑城邑，在四周建造城墙和望楼，装置大门和门闩。我们仍拥有这片土地，是因为我们寻求我们的上帝耶和华；我们寻求祂，祂就赐我们四境平安。”于是，他们修筑城邑，凡事顺利。

约阿施的臣仆谋反，在去悉拉途中的米罗宫杀了他。

乌西雅为全军备有盾牌、矛枪、头盔、铠甲、弓箭和投石器用的石头，又让巧匠在耶路撒冷设计和制造兵器，安放在城楼和角楼上，用来发射弓箭和石头。乌西雅威名远扬，因为他得到非常的帮助，极其强盛。

第七年，耶何耶大发愤图强，召来一些百夫长与他们立约。他们是耶罗罕的儿子亚撒利雅，约哈难的儿子以实玛利，俄备得的儿子亚撒利雅，亚大雅的儿子玛西雅，以及细基利的儿子以利法。

亚扪人向他进贡，乌西雅的名声传到埃及，因他极其强大。
