這希西家也塞住了基訓上游的水源，引水直下、流到大衛城的西邊。希西家所作的一切事工、盡都順利。

希西家王四年、就是以色列王以拉的兒子何細亞七年、亞述王撒縵以色上來攻擊撒瑪利亞，圍困它。

他們起來，把在耶路撒冷的祭壇和一切燒香的壇、盡都除掉，扔在汲淪谿谷中。

永恆主啊，亞述諸王真地使到列國和他們的地都乾燥荒涼，

因為他說：『我的將帥不都是王麼？

這些事、這些忠實的事、作完了以後、亞述王西拿基立就來侵犯猶大，紮營攻擊堡壘城，心裏說要攻破，佔為己有。

希西家其餘的事，他一切勇力的事蹟、和他怎樣造池造溝，引水入城，不是都寫在《猶大諸王記》上麼？

求你賜給你僕人能聽案件的心，可以為你人民判斷，能夠辨別好壞；因為誰能為你這數量這麼重的人民判斷呢？』

希西家王十四年、亞述王西拿基立上來攻擊猶大的一切堡壘城，將城奪取。

以利沙就離開他而回去，取了一對牛來宰，用套牛的器具去煮，將肉給眾民喫；隨後就起身去跟隨以利亞、做他的助手。

有一天、有兩個做妓女的婦人來見王，站在王面前。一個婦人說：『哦，我主上啊，我和這婦人住在一間屋子：和她同屋時我生了孩子。
