Hezekiah rested with his ancestors and was buried on the hill where the tombs of David’s descendants are. All Judah and the people of Jerusalem honored him when he died. And Manasseh his son succeeded him as king.

Hezekiah joined the members of his family who had already died. He was buried on the hill where the tombs of David’s family are. The whole nation of Judah honored him when he died. So did the people of Jerusalem. Hezekiah’s son Manasseh became the next king after him.

And Hezekiah slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the upper part of the tombs of the sons of David, and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem did him honor at his death. And Manasseh his son reigned in his place.

瑪拿西登極的時候十二歲；他在耶路撒冷作王五十五年。他行永恆主所看為壞的事，像永恆主從以色列人面前所驅逐的外國人所行厭惡的事一樣。他重新建築他父親希西家所拆毁的邱壇，又為巴力立了祭壇，又造亞舍拉神木，並且敬拜而服事天上的萬象。他竟又在永恆主殿中為外人的神築了祭壇；這殿是永恆主曾指着說：『我的名必永遠在耶路撒冷』的。瑪拿西在永恆主之殿的兩院中為天上萬象築了祭壇。並在欣嫩子谷將兒女用火燒獻為祭，又算命，又觀兆頭，又行邪術，又行交鬼的事和巫術；多行永恆主所看為壞的事，而惹他發怒。他又將他所做雕塑物的像立在上帝殿中；這殿卻是永恆主曾對大衛和大衛兒子所羅門指着說：『是在這殿並在我從以色列眾族派中所選擇的耶路撒冷、我要立我的名到永遠的。只要以色列人謹慎遵行我所吩咐他們的一切事、一切律法、律例、典章、由摩西經手傳下來的，那麼我就永不再使以色列人的腳離開我所使他們列祖站立的土地。』然而瑪拿西卻迷惑了猶大人和耶路撒冷的居民去行壞事，比永恆主從以色列人面前所除滅的外國人更壞。永恆主對瑪拿西和他的人民講話，他們卻不留心聽。因此永恆主使亞述王的將軍來攻擊他們，用鐃鈎鈎住瑪拿西，用銅鍊鎖着他，將他帶到巴比倫去。他在急難時候、求永恆主他的上帝的情面，並且在他列祖的上帝面前非常謙卑。他禱告永恆主，永恆主就應允他所懇求的，垂聽他的求恩，使他返回耶路撒冷，仍坐他的王位。瑪拿西這才知道惟獨永恆主乃是上帝。此後瑪拿西在大衛城外，從谿谷中基訓西邊、直到魚門口、建造一道城牆，繞着俄斐勒，把它造得極高；又在猶大各堡壘城安置將軍。他又從永恆主的殿除掉了外族人的神像和雕塑物，以及他在永恆主之殿的山上和耶路撒冷所築的各祭壇，都扔在城外。他修築了永恆主的祭壇，在壇上宰獻了平安祭和感謝祭；告訴猶大人要事奉永恆主以色列的上帝。然而人民卻仍在邱壇上獻祭，不過只是獻與永恆主他們的上帝罷了。瑪拿西其餘的事：他對他的上帝的禱告，和那些奉永恆主以色列之上帝的名對他講話的、那些見異象者的話語：都寫在以色列諸王的《言行錄》上呢。他怎樣禱告，上帝怎樣應允他所懇求的，他未自己謙卑以前所犯的一切罪和不忠實，他在甚麼地方築了邱壇、設立了亞舍拉神木和雕像：這些事都寫在那些見異象者的《言行錄》上呢。瑪拿西跟他列祖一同長眠，人將他埋葬在他自己的宮院裏；他兒子亞們接替他作王。

他們到了約但河東邊，亞達的禾場，就在那裏舉哀，大大的非常傷痛的舉哀：約瑟為他父親舉行了哀悼七天。那地的居民、迦南人、見亞達禾場上的哀悼，就說：『這是給埃及人所行的一場傷痛的哀悼』；因此那地方名叫亞伯麥西，是在約但河東邊。

以色列人在摩押原野為摩西哀哭了三十天，然後為摩西居喪哀哭的日子才完結。

人把他埋葬在他自己的墳墓裏，他在大衛城為自己所開掘的。人先把他安放在床上；那床堆滿着香料和各種香物、按作香物者的作法所配合成的；人們又為他舉行了非常大的焚燒禮。
