But when envoys were sent by the rulers of Babylon to ask him about the miraculous sign that had occurred in the land, God left him to test him and to know everything that was in his heart.

The rulers of Babylon sent messengers to him. They asked him about the miraculous sign that had taken place in the land. Then God left Hezekiah to test him. God wanted to know everything in Hezekiah’s heart.

And so in the matter of the envoys of the princes of Babylon, who had been sent to him to inquire about the sign that had been done in the land, God left him to himself, in order to test him and to know all that was in his heart.

However, when ambassadors arrived from Babylon to ask about the remarkable events that had taken place in the land, God withdrew from Hezekiah in order to test him and to see what was really in his heart.

When the ambassadors of Babylon’s rulers were sent to him to inquire about the miraculous sign that happened in the land, God left him to test him and discover what was in his heart.

Even in the matter of the messengers of the rulers of Babylon, who were sent to him to inquire about the wonder that had happened in the land; God left him alone only to test him, so that He might know everything that was in his heart.

However, regarding the ambassadors of the princes of Babylon, whom they sent to him to inquire about the wonder that was done in the land, God withdrew from him, in order to test him, that He might know all that was in his heart.

Howbeit in the business of the ambassadors of the princes of Babylon, who sent unto him to inquire of the wonder that was done in the land, God left him, to try him, that he might know all that was in his heart.

When the ambassadors of Babylon’s rulers were sent to him to inquire about the miraculous sign that happened in the land, God left him to test him and discover what was in his heart.

Howbeit in[ the business of] the ambassadors of the princes of Babylon, who sent unto him to enquire of the wonder that was[ done] in the land, God left him, to try him, that he might know all[ that was] in his heart.

So when the envoys arrived from the Babylonian officials to visit him and inquire about the sign that occurred in the land, God left him alone to test him, in order to know his true motives.

However concerning the ambassadors of the princes of Babylon, who sent to him to inquire of the wonder that was done in the land, God left him, to try him, that he might know all that was in his heart.

你要记得，这四十年耶和华—你的上帝在旷野一路引导你，是要磨炼你，考验你，为要知道你的心如何，是否愿意遵守他的诫命。

这些事以后，上帝考验亚伯拉罕，对他说：“亚伯拉罕！”他说：“我在这里。”

那些日子，希西家病得要死，就向耶和华祷告，耶和华应允他，赐他一个预兆。

又在旷野将你列祖所不认识的吗哪赐给你吃，为要磨炼你，考验你，终久使你享福。

人被诱惑，不可说：“我是被上帝诱惑”；因为上帝是不被恶诱惑的，他也不诱惑人。

但你若伸手毁他一切所有的，他必当面背弃你。”耶和华对撒但说：“看哪，凡他所有的都在你手中；只是不可伸手加害于他。”于是撒但从耶和华面前退出去。

我就是葡萄树，你们是枝子。常在我里面的，我也常在他里面，这人就多结果子，因为离了我，你们就不能做什么。

鼎为炼银，炉为炼金，惟有耶和华熬炼人心。

他来的日子，谁能当得起呢？他显现的时候，谁能立得住呢？因为他如炼金匠的火，如漂洗者的碱。他必坐下如炼净银子的人，必洁净利未人，熬炼他们像金银一样；他们就凭公义献供物给耶和华。

那时，巴拉但的儿子，巴比伦王米罗达‧巴拉但听见希西家病得痊愈，就送书信和礼物给他。希西家欢喜见使者，就将自己宝库里的金子、银子、香料、贵重的膏油和他军械库里一切的兵器，以及他所有的财宝，都给他们看；在他家中和全国之内，希西家没有一样不给他们看的。于是以赛亚先知到希西家王那里去，对他说：“这些人说了些什么？他们从哪里来见你？”希西家说：“他们从远方的巴比伦来见我。”以赛亚说：“他们在你家里看见了什么？”希西家说：“凡我家中所有的，他们都看见了；我财宝中没有一样东西不给他们看的。”以赛亚对希西家说：“你要听万军之耶和华的话，耶和华说：‘看哪，日子将到，凡你家里所有的，并你祖先积蓄到如今的一切，都要被掳到巴比伦去，不留下一样；从你本身所生的孩子，其中必有被掳到巴比伦王宫当太监的。’”希西家对以赛亚说：“你所说耶和华的话甚好。”因为他想：“在我有生之年必有太平和安稳。”

我要使这三分之一经过火，熬炼他们，如熬炼银子；试炼他们，如试炼金子。他们要求告我的名，我必应允他们。我说：“这是我的子民。”他们要说：“耶和华是我的上帝。”

大利拉说：“参孙，非利士人来捉你了！”参孙从睡中醒来，说：“我要像前几次一样脱身而去。”他却不知道耶和华已经离开他了。

希西家对以赛亚说：“耶和华必医治我，到第三日我能上耶和华的殿，有什么预兆呢？”以赛亚说：“耶和华必成就他所说的这话。这是耶和华给你的预兆：你要日影向前进十度呢？或是要往后退十度呢？”希西家说：“日影向前进十度容易；不，让日影往后退十度吧。”以赛亚先知求告耶和华，耶和华就使亚哈斯日晷上照下来的日影，往后退了十度。那时，巴拉但的儿子，巴比伦王米罗达‧巴拉但听见希西家生病了，就送书信和礼物给他。希西家听使者的话，就将自己一切宝库里的金子、银子、香料、贵重的膏油和他军械库里的兵器，以及他所有的财宝，都给他们看；在他家中和全国之内，希西家没有一样东西不给他们看的。

求你不要转脸不顾我，不要发怒赶逐你的仆人，你向来是帮助我的。救我的上帝啊，不要离开我，也不要撇弃我。

耶和华啊，你已经鉴察我，认识我。我坐下，我起来，你都晓得；你从远处知道我的意念。

你不可听那先知或是那做梦之人的话，因为这是耶和华—你们的上帝考验你们，要知道你们是否尽心尽性爱耶和华—你们的上帝。

使你们的信心既被考验，就比那被火试炼仍然能坏的金子更显宝贵，可以在耶稣基督显现的时候得着称赞、荣耀、尊贵。

“耶和华必成就他所说的这话。这是耶和华给你的预兆：看哪，我要使亚哈斯日晷上随太阳前进的影子，往后退十度。”于是，在日晷上照下来的日影果然往后退了十度。

不要丢弃我，使我离开你的面；不要从我收回你的圣灵。求你使我重得救恩之乐，以乐意的灵来扶持我，

求你照你的话扶持我，使我存活，不要叫我因失望而蒙羞。求你扶持我，使我得救，时常看重你的律例。

耶和华对撒但说：“你曾用心察看我的仆人约伯没有？地上再没有人像他那样完全、正直、敬畏上帝、远离恶事。你虽激起我攻击他，无故吞灭他，他仍然持守他的纯正。”撒但回答耶和华说：“人以皮代皮，情愿舍去一切所有的，来保全性命。但你若伸手伤他的骨头和他的肉，他必当面背弃你。”耶和华对撒但说：“看哪，他在你手中，只要留下他的性命。”

上帝啊，求你鉴察我，知道我的心思，试炼我，知道我的意念；看在我里面有什么恶行没有，引导我走永生的道路。
