Then Hezekiah repented of the pride of his heart, as did the people of Jerusalem; therefore the Lord’s wrath did not come on them during the days of Hezekiah.

Then Hezekiah had a change of heart. He was sorry he had been proud. The people of Jerusalem were also sorry they had sinned. So the Lord wasn’t angry with them as long as Hezekiah was king.

But Hezekiah humbled himself for the pride of his heart, both he and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so that the wrath of the Lord did not come upon them in the days of Hezekiah.

Then Hezekiah humbled himself and repented of his pride, as did the people of Jerusalem. So the Lord’s anger did not fall on them during Hezekiah’s lifetime.

Then Hezekiah humbled himself for the pride of his heart— he and the inhabitants of Jerusalem— so the LORD’s wrath didn’t come on them during Hezekiah’s lifetime.

But then Hezekiah and the residents of Jerusalem humbled themselves and abandoned their pride, and the LORD was not angry with them for the rest of Hezekiah’s reign.

“当犹大王希西家的日子，有摩利沙人弥迦对犹大众百姓预言说：‘万军之耶和华如此说：锡安要被耕种像一块田地，耶路撒冷要变为废墟，这殿的山必像丛林的高处。’“犹大王希西家和犹大人岂是把他处死呢？希西家岂不是敬畏耶和华，恳求耶和华施恩吗？耶和华就改变心意，不把所说的灾祸降与他们。若处死这人，我们就做了大恶，害死自己了。”

他在急难的时候恳求耶和华—他的上帝，并在他列祖的上帝面前极其谦卑。

就是听见我指着这地方和其上居民所说的话，你的心就软化，在我面前谦卑下来，撕裂衣服，向我哭泣，因此我应允你。这是耶和华说的。看哪，我必使你归到你祖先那里，平安地进入坟墓，我要降于这地方和其上居民的一切灾祸，你不会亲眼看见。’”他们就去把这话回覆王。

要在主面前谦卑，他就使你们高升。

“亚哈在我面前这样谦卑，你看见了吗？因为他在我面前谦卑，所以在他的日子，我不降这祸；到他儿子的时候，我必降这祸于他的家。”

你要对他说：‘耶和华如此说：你杀了人，还要取得他的产业吗？’又要对他说：‘耶和华如此说：狗在何处舔拿伯的血，狗也必在何处舔你的血。’”

他的祷告，上帝怎样应允他，他未谦卑以前的一切罪愆过犯，以及在何处建筑丘坛，设立亚舍拉和雕刻的偶像，看哪，都写在何赛的书上。

以赛亚对希西家说：“你要听耶和华的话：耶和华说：‘看哪，日子将到，凡你家里所有的，并你祖先积蓄到如今的一切，都要被掳到巴比伦去，不留下一样；从你本身所生的孩子，其中必有被掳到巴比伦王宫当太监的。’”希西家对以赛亚说：“你所说耶和华的话甚好。”因为他想：“在我有生之年岂不是有太平和安稳吗？”

“他们要承认自己的罪孽和祖先的罪孽，就是背叛我，行事与我作对的过犯。我也行事与他们作对，把他们遣送到敌人之地。那时，他们未受割礼的心若肯谦卑，也服了罪孽的惩罚，

但他不像他父亲玛拿西在耶和华面前那样谦卑下来。这亚们的罪越犯越大。

耶和华说：‘看哪，日子将到，凡你家里所有的，并你祖先积蓄到如今的一切，都要被掳到巴比伦去，不留下一样；从你本身所生的孩子，其中必有被掳到巴比伦王宫当太监的。’”希西家对以赛亚说：“你所说耶和华的话甚好。”因为他想：“在我有生之年必有太平和安稳。”
