Then Hezekiah repented of the pride of his heart, as did the people of Jerusalem; therefore the Lord’s wrath did not come on them during the days of Hezekiah.

Then Hezekiah had a change of heart. He was sorry he had been proud. The people of Jerusalem were also sorry they had sinned. So the Lord wasn’t angry with them as long as Hezekiah was king.

But Hezekiah humbled himself for the pride of his heart, both he and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so that the wrath of the Lord did not come upon them in the days of Hezekiah.

Then Hezekiah humbled himself and repented of his pride, as did the people of Jerusalem. So the Lord’s anger did not fall on them during Hezekiah’s lifetime.

Then Hezekiah humbled himself for the pride of his heart— he and the inhabitants of Jerusalem— so the LORD’s wrath didn’t come on them during Hezekiah’s lifetime.

But then Hezekiah and the residents of Jerusalem humbled themselves and abandoned their pride, and the LORD was not angry with them for the rest of Hezekiah’s reign.

Notwithstanding Hezekiah humbled himself for the pride of his heart, both he and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so that Yahweh’s wrath didn’t come on them in the days of Hezekiah.

「當猶大王希西家的日子，有摩利沙人彌迦對猶大眾人預言說：萬軍之耶和華如此說：錫安必被耕種像一塊田；耶路撒冷必變為亂堆；這殿的山必像叢林的高處。猶大王希西家和猶大眾人豈是把他治死呢？希西家豈不是敬畏耶和華、懇求他的恩嗎？耶和華就後悔，不把自己所說的災禍降與他們。若治死這人，我們就作了大惡，自害己命。」（

他在急難的時候，就懇求耶和華－他的神，且在他列祖的神面前極其自卑。

就是聽見我指着這地和其上居民所說的話，你便心裏敬服，在我面前自卑，撕裂衣服，向我哭泣，因此我應允了你。這是我－耶和華說的。我必使你平平安安地歸到墳墓，到你列祖那裏，我要降與這地和其上居民的一切災禍，你也不致親眼看見。』」他們就回覆王去了。

務要在主面前自卑，主就必叫你們升高。

「亞哈在我面前這樣自卑，你看見了嗎？因他在我面前自卑，他還在世的時候，我不降這禍；到他兒子的時候，我必降這禍與他的家。」

你要對他說：『耶和華如此說：你殺了人，又得他的產業嗎？』又要對他說：『耶和華如此說：狗在何處舔拿伯的血，也必在何處舔你的血。』」

他的禱告，與神怎樣應允他，他未自卑以前的罪愆過犯，並在何處建築邱壇，設立亞舍拉和雕刻的偶像，都寫在何賽的書上。

以賽亞對希西家說：「你要聽耶和華的話，日子必到，凡你家裏所有的，並你列祖積蓄到如今的，都要被擄到巴比倫去，不留下一樣。這是耶和華說的。並且從你本身所生的眾子，其中必有被擄去在巴比倫王宮裏當太監的。」希西家對以賽亞說：「你所說耶和華的話甚好！若在我的年日中有太平和穩固的景況，豈不是好嗎？」

「他們要承認自己的罪和他們祖宗的罪，就是干犯我的那罪，並且承認自己行事與我反對，我所以行事與他們反對，把他們帶到仇敵之地。那時，他們未受割禮的心若謙卑了，他們也服了罪孽的刑罰，

不在耶和華面前像他父瑪拿西自卑。這亞們所犯的罪越犯越大。

日子必到，凡你家裏所有的，並你列祖積蓄到如今的，都要被擄到巴比倫去，不留下一樣；這是耶和華說的。並且從你本身所生的眾子，其中必有被擄去、在巴比倫王宮裏當太監的。」希西家對以賽亞說：「你所說耶和華的話甚好，因為在我的年日中必有太平和穩固的景況。」
