Then Hezekiah repented of the pride of his heart, as did the people of Jerusalem; therefore the Lord’s wrath did not come on them during the days of Hezekiah.

Then Hezekiah had a change of heart. He was sorry he had been proud. The people of Jerusalem were also sorry they had sinned. So the Lord wasn’t angry with them as long as Hezekiah was king.

But Hezekiah humbled himself for the pride of his heart, both he and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so that the wrath of the Lord did not come upon them in the days of Hezekiah.

Then Hezekiah humbled himself and repented of his pride, as did the people of Jerusalem. So the Lord’s anger did not fall on them during Hezekiah’s lifetime.

Then Hezekiah humbled himself for the pride of his heart— he and the inhabitants of Jerusalem— so the LORD’s wrath didn’t come on them during Hezekiah’s lifetime.

But then Hezekiah and the residents of Jerusalem humbled themselves and abandoned their pride, and the LORD was not angry with them for the rest of Hezekiah’s reign.

Notwithstanding Hezekiah humbled himself for the pride of his heart, both he and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so that Yahweh’s wrath didn’t come on them in the days of Hezekiah.

“当犹大王希西家的日子，有摩利沙人弥迦对犹大众人预言说：‘万军之耶和华如此说：锡安必被耕种像一块田；耶路撒冷必变为乱堆；这殿的山必像丛林的高处。’犹大王希西家和犹大众人岂是把他治死呢？希西家岂不是敬畏耶和华、恳求他的恩吗？耶和华就后悔，不把自己所说的灾祸降与他们。若治死这人，我们就作了大恶，自害己命。”

他在急难的时候，就恳求耶和华他的神，且在他列祖的神面前极其自卑。

就是听见我指着这地和其上居民所说的话，你便心里敬服，在我面前自卑，撕裂衣服，向我哭泣，因此我应允了你。这是我耶和华说的。我必使你平平安安地归到坟墓，到你列祖那里，我要降与这地和其上居民的一切灾祸，你也不至亲眼看见。’”他们就回复王去了。

务要在主面前自卑，主就必叫你们升高。

“亚哈在我面前这样自卑，你看见了吗？因他在我面前自卑，他还在世的时候，我不降这祸；到他儿子的时候，我必降这祸与他的家。”

你要对他说：‘耶和华如此说：你杀了人，又得他的产业吗？’又要对他说：‘耶和华如此说：狗在何处舔拿伯的血，也必在何处舔你的血。’”

他的祷告，与神怎样应允他，他未自卑以前的罪愆过犯，并在何处建筑邱坛，设立亚舍拉和雕刻的偶像，都写在何赛的书上。

以赛亚对希西家说：“你要听耶和华的话，日子必到，凡你家里所有的，并你列祖积蓄到如今的，都要被掳到巴比伦去，不留下一样。这是耶和华说的。并且从你本身所生的众子，其中必有被掳去在巴比伦王宫里当太监的。”希西家对以赛亚说：“你所说耶和华的话甚好！若在我的年日中有太平和稳固的景况，岂不是好吗？”

“他们要承认自己的罪和他们祖宗的罪，就是干犯我的那罪，并且承认自己行事与我反对，我所以行事与他们反对，把他们带到仇敌之地。那时，他们未受割礼的心若谦卑了，他们也服了罪孽的刑罚，

不在耶和华面前像他父玛拿西自卑。这亚们所犯的罪越犯越大。

日子必到，凡你家里所有的，并你列祖积蓄到如今的，都要被掳到巴比伦去，不留下一样；这是耶和华说的。并且从你本身所生的众子，其中必有被掳去、在巴比伦王宫里当太监的。”希西家对以赛亚说：“你所说耶和华的话甚好，因为在我的年日中必有太平和稳固的景况。”
