我与我祖先向列邦民族所行的，你们岂不知道吗？列邦的神明何尝能救自己的国脱离我的手呢？

难道你们不知道我和我的祖先怎样对付列国吗？列国的神明哪个能从我手中救自己的国家呢？

我和我列祖向各地的民族所行的，你们不知道吗？各地列国的神能拯救他们的国脱离我的手吗？

我與我列祖向列邦所行的，你們豈不知道嗎？列邦的神何嘗能救自己的國脫離我手呢？

我與我祖先向列邦民族所行的，你們豈不知道嗎？列邦的神明何嘗能救自己的國脫離我的手呢？

難道你們不知道我和我的祖先怎樣對付列國嗎？列國的神明哪個能從我手中救自己的國家呢？

我和我列祖向各地的民族所行的，你們不知道嗎？各地列國的神能拯救他們的國脫離我的手嗎？

我和我列祖向四圍各地萬族之民所行的、你們不知道麼？各地列國的神何嘗真能援救他們本地脫離我的手呢？

我與列祖何以待列邦之民、爾豈不知乎、列邦之神、能救其國脫於我手乎、

我與列祖、滅四方民、爾豈不知乎、列邦之上帝、豈能救其國、脫於我手乎。

我與列祖如何待列邦、爾豈不知乎、列邦之神、能救其國脫於我手乎、

“ Do you not know what I and my predecessors have done to all the peoples of the other lands? Were the gods of those nations ever able to deliver their land from my hand?

“‘ Don’t you know what I and the kings who ruled before me have done? Don’t you know what we’ve done to all the peoples of the other lands? Were the gods of those nations ever able to save their lands from my power?

Do you not know what I and my fathers have done to all the peoples of other lands? Were the gods of the nations of those lands at all able to deliver their lands out of my hand?

“ Surely you must realize what I and the other kings of Assyria before me have done to all the people of the earth! Were any of the gods of those nations able to rescue their people from my power?

“‘ Don’t you know what I and my predecessors have done to all the peoples of the lands? Have any of the national gods of the lands been able to rescue their land from my power?

Do you not know what I and my fathers have done to all the peoples of the lands? Were the gods of the nations of those lands at all able to save their land from my hand?

Do you not know what I and my fathers have done to all the peoples of other lands? Were the gods of the nations of those lands in any way able to deliver their lands out of my hand?

Know ye not what I and my fathers have done unto all the peoples of the lands? Were the gods of the nations of the lands in any wise able to deliver their land out of my hand?

“‘ Don’t you know what I and my fathers have done to all the peoples of the lands? Have any of the national gods of the lands been able to deliver their land from my power?

Know ye not what I and my fathers have done unto all the people of[ other] lands? were the gods of the nations of those lands any ways able to deliver their lands out of mine hand?

Are you not aware of what I and my predecessors have done to all the nations of the surrounding lands? Have the gods of the surrounding lands actually been able to rescue their lands from my power?

Don’t you know what I and my fathers have done to all the peoples of the lands? Were the gods of the nations of the lands in any way able to deliver their land out of my hand?

列国的神明有哪一个曾救它本国脱离亚述王的手呢？哈马、亚珥拔的神明在哪里呢？西法瓦音、希拿、以瓦的神明在哪里呢？它们曾救撒玛利亚脱离我的手吗？这些国的神明有谁曾救自己的国脱离我的手呢？难道耶和华能救耶路撒冷脱离我的手吗？’”

你们不要恐惧，也不要害怕。我岂不是从上古就告诉并指示你们了吗？你们是我的见证人！除我以外，岂有上帝呢？诚然没有磐石，就我所知，一个也没有！”制造偶像的人尽都虚空，他们所喜悦的全无益处；偶像的见证人毫无所见，毫无所知，以致他们羞愧。谁制造神像，铸造偶像？这些都是无益的。

但是，我们的上帝在天上，万事都随自己的旨意而行。他们的偶像是金的，是银的，是人手所造的，有口却不能言，有眼却不能看，有耳却不能听，有鼻却不能闻，有手却不能摸，有脚却不能走，有喉却不能说话。造它们的要像它们一样，凡靠它们的也必如此。

关于吃祭过偶像的食物，我们知道“偶像在世上算不得什么”；也知道“上帝只有一位，没有别的”。

看哪，你总听说亚述诸王向列国所行的是尽行灭绝，难道你能幸免吗？我祖先所毁灭的，就是歌散、哈兰、利色和提‧拉撒的伊甸人；这些国的神明何曾拯救他们呢？哈马的王，亚珥拔的王，西法瓦音城的王，希拿和以瓦的王，都在哪里呢？’”

在以色列王比加的日子，亚述王提革拉‧毗列色来夺取以云、亚伯‧伯‧玛迦、亚挪、基低斯、夏琐、基列、加利利和拿弗他利全地，把这些地方的居民都掳到亚述去了。

迦勒挪岂不像迦基米施吗？哈马岂不像亚珥拔吗？撒玛利亚岂不像大马士革吗？既然我的手已伸到了这些有偶像的国，他们所雕刻的偶像过于耶路撒冷和撒玛利亚的偶像，

你们看到，也听见这保罗不但在以弗所，也几乎在亚细亚全地，引诱迷惑了许多人，说：‘人手所做的不是神明。’

你们要对他们这样说：“那些不是创造天地的神明，必从地上、从天下被除灭！”耶和华以能力创造大地，以智慧建立世界，以聪明铺张穹苍。

耶和华啊，亚述诸王果然使列国和列国之地变为荒芜，将列国的神明扔在火里，因为它们不是神明，是人手所造的，是木头、石头，所以被灭绝了。耶和华—我们的上帝啊，现在求你救我们脱离亚述王的手，使地上万国都知道惟有你是耶和华。”

耶和华啊，亚述诸王果然使列国和列国之地变为荒芜，将列国的神像扔在火里，因为它们不是上帝，是人手所造的，是木头、石头，所以被灭绝了。耶和华—我们的上帝啊，现在求你救我们脱离亚述王的手，使地上万国都知道惟独你—耶和华是上帝！”

因上帝所赐给他的大权，各方、各国、各族的人都在他面前恐惧战兢，因他要杀就杀，要人活就活，要升就升，要降就降。

亚述王上来攻击以色列全地，上到撒玛利亚，围困这城三年。何细亚第九年，亚述王攻取了撒玛利亚，把以色列人掳到亚述，安置在哈腊与歌散的哈博河边，以及玛代人的城镇。

雅各所得的福分不是这样，因主是那创造万有的，以色列是他产业的支派，万军之耶和华是他的名。

现在我—尼布甲尼撒赞美、尊崇、恭敬天上的王，因为他所行的全都信实，他所做的尽都公平。那行事骄傲的，他能降为卑。”

我的手夺取列国的财宝，好像人夺取鸟窝；我得了全地，好像人拾起被弃的鸟蛋；没有振动翅膀的，没有张嘴的，也没有鸣叫的。”

我祖先所毁灭的，就是歌散、哈兰、利色和提‧拉撒的伊甸人；这些国的神明何曾拯救他们呢？哈马的王，亚珥拔的王，西法瓦音城的王，希拿和以瓦的王，都在哪里呢？’”

他们谈论耶路撒冷的上帝，如同谈论世上人手所造的神明一样。

王说：“这大巴比伦岂不是我用大能大力建为首都，要显示我威严的荣耀吗？”
