As soon as the order went out, the Israelites generously gave the firstfruits of their grain, new wine, olive oil and honey and all that the fields produced. They brought a great amount, a tithe of everything.

The order went out. Right away the people of Israel began to give freely. They gave the first share of the harvest of their grain, fresh wine, olive oil and honey. They also gave the first share of everything else their fields produced. They brought a large amount. It was a tenth of everything.

As soon as the command was spread abroad, the people of Israel gave in abundance the firstfruits of grain, wine, oil, honey, and of all the produce of the field. And they brought in abundantly the tithe of everything.

以所有之初實、供於耶和華、

即遭難被困間、甚貧而大喜、益彰其厚濟、吾證其竭力、過量樂助、殷勤求我、納其所捐者、即施濟聖徒之金、行此出我望外、先委身事主、後從我遵上帝旨、

爾穀既登、爾釀初熟、奉我勿遲、汝初胎之男子必獻於我、

我儕有願、凡初登之土產、始實之樹果、歲薦耶和華殿、以我初胎男子首生牛羊、攜入殿中、給供役之祭司、循律例所載。新麥為屑、與當獻禮物、初稔之果、新製之油、始熟之酒、納祭司、貯諸殿室、邑外郊圻、田中所產、取其什一、以奉利未人。利未人受什一時、亞倫子孫、當一人在側、利未人復於其中什取一、運入上帝殿、藏諸府庫。以色列族、利未人、運所獻、百穀油酒、至藏器之室、祭司、司閽者、謳歌者、所居之處、於是在上帝之殿、事不廢弛。

就摩西曰、民所獻者、與耶和華所命之制度相較、綽有餘裕。摩西傳命諸營、曰、男女毋再造作、以獻聖所、民乃止。

民長與眾欣喜納金盈匱。利未人見金已多、舁匱入王所、王之繕寫、與祭司長之吏、傾取其金、以匱復其所、日恆如此、積金無算。

屆期備柴、為薦新之舉、我理其事、望上帝垂念、錫我福祉焉。
