他們的住處按着境內的營寨如下：亞倫的子孫哥轄族先抽籤得地，得了猶大地的希伯崙和四圍的郊野；只是這城的田地和所屬的村莊都為耶孚尼的兒子迦勒所得。亞倫的子孫所得逃城如下：希伯崙、立拿與其郊野、雅提珥、以實提莫與其郊野、希崙與其郊野、底璧與其郊野、亞珊與其郊野、伯‧示麥與其郊野。他們也從便雅憫支派中得了迦巴與其郊野、阿勒篾與其郊野、亞拿突與其郊野。他們宗族所得的城共十三座。

被選作門口守衛的總共有二百一十二名。他們在自己的村莊，按着家譜登記，是大衛和撒母耳先見所派擔當這受託之職任的。

耶歇、亞撒細雅、拿哈、亞撒黑、耶利摩、約撒拔、以列、伊斯瑪基雅、瑪哈、比拿雅都是督辦，在歌楠雅和他兄弟示每的手下，是希西家王和管理上帝殿的亞撒利雅所委派的。

這些人無論大小，為師的、為徒的，都一同抽籤分了班次。
