They decided to send a proclamation throughout Israel, from Beersheba to Dan, calling the people to come to Jerusalem and celebrate the Passover to the Lord, the God of Israel. It had not been celebrated in large numbers according to what was written.

They decided to send a message all through Israel. It was sent out from Beersheba all the way to Dan. The message invited the people to come to Jerusalem. It invited them to celebrate the Passover Feast to honor the Lord, the God of Israel. The Passover Feast hadn’t been celebrated by large numbers of people for a long time. It hadn’t been done in keeping with what was written in the law.

So they decreed to make a proclamation throughout all Israel, from Beersheba to Dan, that the people should come and keep the Passover to the Lord, the God of Israel, at Jerusalem, for they had not kept it as often as prescribed.

末底改記錄此事、又書達亞哈隨魯王各州之猶大人、無論遠近、使為己立一例、每歲守亞達月十四日十五日為節期、

今請王設此禁令、頒詔不得收回、循瑪代巴西之例、不可更改、

巴西王古列元年、主欲應耶利米所傳主之言、感巴西王古列之心、宣告遍國、並降詔曰、

兄弟乎、我譽爾、因爾凡事記憶我、且守我所授爾之道、

爾曹為護衛猶大人、可隨己意、託我名書詔、以我印環印之、若前詔則不能收回、因有定例、凡詔書以王名、印以王印環者、不能收回、三月、即西彎月二十三日、乃召王之繕寫至、循末底改之所囑書詔、傳於一百二十七州之猶大人、及大臣、方伯、州牧、自印度至古實、皆用各州各族之文字方言、亦用猶大人之文字方言、悉託亞哈隨魯王名而書、印以王之印環、以交驛卒、或乘疾馬、或乘疾騾、或乘疾駝、傳至各處、

爾告以色列人云、我耶和華之節期、即爾所當宣告為聖會者乃此、

正月十三日、遂召王之繕寫、循哈曼所囑、以各州各族之文字方言、託亞哈隨魯王之名書詔、傳於各州之大臣、方伯、與各族之族長、各民之民長、並以王之指環印之、以詔付驛卒、傳於各州、命將猶大人、無論老少、嬰孩、婦女、在一日內、在十二月、即亞達月十三日、盡翦除、殺戮、剿滅、並取其貨財、鈔錄此詔、頒行各州、宣告各族、使之預備、以待是日、王命孔急、驛卒勿促啟行、此詔亦宣示於書珊城、王與哈曼坐而飲、書珊城之民、無不惶恐、

尼布甲尼撒王頒詔天下各民、各國、各族、曰、願爾曹大享平康、至上之天主、所施於我之異跡奇事、我樂以宣之、大哉其異跡、盛哉其奇事、或作其異跡何其大其奇事何其盛其國乃永遠之國、其權至於世世、○我尼布甲尼撒安處我宮、康樂在己殿、忽得一夢、使我畏懼、我寢於床、因思見異像、使我惶恐、惶恐或作惶擾下同遂命召巴比倫諸哲士、咸詣我前、欲彼以夢兆告我、欲彼以夢兆告我或作使彼為我解夢於是博士、術士、迦勒底人、星士、咸集、我告以所夢、彼不能示我其兆、示我其兆或作為我解之既而但以理至我前、彼循我所敬之神名、稱伯提沙撒、素為聖神明之神所感、我遂以夢告之曰、博士長伯提沙撒歟、我知爾素為聖神明之神所感、凡奧秘之事、爾無不明晰、今我得夢、爾解其兆、爾解其兆或作爾為我解之我寢於床、所見之異象如是、見樹植於地之當中、樹甚崇高、樹大大或作長而堅剛、高及於天、至地極可見、其葉榮茂、其果甚多、足飼眾生、野獸伏其蔭下、空中飛鳥棲其枝上、凡有血氣者、由之得食、我寢於床、所見之異象中、又見守護之聖者、聖者或作聖天使下同自天而降、大聲呼曰、伐其樹、斫其枝、摧其葉、散其果、使獸不再伏其蔭下、鳥不復棲其枝上、惟其根株仍留於地、以銅索鐵索、繫於田野之草中、為天降之露所濕、與野獸同食以草、使其心變、不似人心、予以獸心、如此歷七期、此由守者所定、由聖者所決、使天下人知至上者、主掌人間之國、隨意以國賜人、亦能以人間卑微者立為國主、此乃我尼布甲尼撒王所得之夢、爾伯提沙撒當解其兆、當解其兆或作當為我解之我國中諸哲士、不能示我其兆、不能示我其兆或作不能為我解之惟爾必能、蓋爾素為聖神明之神所感也、稱伯提沙撒之但以理、一聞我言、驚訝片時、中心惶恐、我尼布甲尼撒王曰、伯提沙撒、勿為夢與夢兆惶恐、伯提沙撒曰、我主、願其夢應於王之仇、願其兆驗驗或作臨於王之敵、王所見之樹、大大或作長而堅剛、高及於天、至地極可見、其葉榮茂、其果甚多、足飼眾生、野獸伏其蔭下、空中飛鳥棲其枝上、王歟、斯樹即王、王大大或作長而堅剛、盛大及天、權柄直至地極、王見守護之聖者自天而降云、伐其樹而毀之、惟其根株仍留於地、以銅索鐵索、繫於田野之草中、為天降之露所濕、與野獸同食以草、如此歷七期、我主我王、夢兆若是、必應於王身、為至上者所命定、人將逐王不與人偕居、不與人偕居或作離於人下同使王與野獸同居、食草若牛、為天降之露所濕、如此歷七期、使王知至上者、主掌人間之國、隨意以國賜人、王於夢中聞其命留樹之根株、其意指王、若王覺悟、知權自天操、則國仍復於王、故請王容我諫勸、王當行義以贖罪、矜恤貧乏以贖愆、庶幾恆久綏安、此諸事俱為我尼布甲尼撒王所遇、越十二月、一日我尼布甲尼撒王遊於巴比倫王宮、我尼布甲尼撒王曰、此巴比倫大城、非我用大能建為王都、以顯我榮者乎、我尼布甲尼撒王口中言未竟、自天有聲曰、尼布甲尼撒王、告爾有命、爾將失國、眾必逐爾不與人偕居、使與野獸同居、食草若牛、如此歷七期、使爾知至上者、主掌人間之國、隨意以國賜人、即時此言應於我尼布甲尼撒王之身、被逐不與人偕居、食草若牛、為天降之露所濕、首髮長若鷹毛、指甲長若鳥爪、

主之節期、即屆期所當宣告為聖會者乃此、

自先知撒母耳時以來、以色列人未守逾越節若此、以色列列王未守逾越節若約西亞、與祭司、利未人、及在耶路撒冷所有之猶大人、以色列人、並耶路撒冷之居民所守者、
