A person should examine himself first, and in this way let him eat the bread and drink of the cup.

The celebration included the entire assembly of Judah, the priests, the Levites, the entire assembly of those who came from Israel, the resident foreigners who came from the land of Israel, and the residents of Judah.

But some men from Asher, Manasseh, and Zebulun humbled themselves and came to Jerusalem.

You must have the same statute for the resident foreigner and for the one who was born in the land.’”

The LORD said to Moses and Aaron,“ This is the ordinance of the Passover. No foreigner may share in eating it.But everyone’s servant who is bought for money, after you have circumcised him, may eat it.A foreigner and a hired worker must not eat it.It must be eaten in one house; you must not bring any of the meat outside the house, and you must not break a bone of it.The whole community of Israel must observe it.“ When a foreigner lives with you and wants to observe the Passover to the LORD, all his males must be circumcised, and then he may approach and observe it, and he will be like one who is born in the land– but no uncircumcised person may eat of it.The same law will apply to the person who is native-born and to the foreigner who lives among you.”So all the Israelites did exactly as the LORD commanded Moses and Aaron.And on this very day the LORD brought the Israelites out of the land of Egypt by their regiments.

The LORD is both kind and fair; that is why he teaches sinners the right way to live.

If anyone sees his fellow Christian committing a sin not resulting in death, he should ask, and God will grant life to the person who commits a sin not resulting in death. There is a sin resulting in death. I do not say that he should ask about that.

O LORD, your loyal love reaches to the sky; your faithfulness to the clouds.

‘ The LORD is slow to anger and abounding in loyal love, forgiving iniquity and transgression, but by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children until the third and fourth generations.’Please forgive the iniquity of this people according to your great loyal love, just as you have forgiven this people from Egypt even until now.”Then the LORD said,“ I have forgiven them as you asked.

But the man who is unclean and does not purify himself, that person must be cut off from among the community, because he has polluted the sanctuary of the LORD; the water of purification was not sprinkled on him, so he is unclean.

Certainly O Lord, you are kind and forgiving, and show great faithfulness to all who cry out to you.

You are good and you do good. Teach me your statutes!
